no kidding, everybody should get food stamps. From the creepiest drug addict to Warren Buffet. No means testing. It should be a lot less per month than it is now. There is no excuse for any human being to be hungry. And if you are it is because you are a food stamp fraud.
I agree on the fact that no human being should be hungry, but giving food stamps to everyone is lunacy.
well now, let's think about it. They gave me so much, that I would go to the food bank which was in the parking lot of my local grocery store and ask them what they needed. Usually it was milk. I am lactose intolerant and I think a lot of mothers like my mother don't realize how bad milk is for children, but I would grab a shopping cart and go in and buy 6 gallons of milk and deliver it to the food bank. The chick who ran it was my age and pretty sexy. As a matter of fact, I met her in a bar. We got to talking and I tried to make an impression by telling her I could donate. She would thank me profusely for donating, but I had to come clean and told her, "Don't thank me now, thank me for all the years I paid income tax."
Very interesting story about how you tried to get into some girl's pants at the food bank, but not necessarily an argument for giving everyone - regardless of income - food stamps.
well, lets think about it. We already pay a social security and medicare tax. Everybody bitches about it, but everybody gets the benefit. What would be wrong with a food stamp tax? Pick a number, any number. If I was king of U.S.A. it would be today $80/mo benefit for every man woman and child, and adjusted every year for food inflation. So a family of 4 would get $320/mo. What would the tax be? I don't know. But on a percentage basis, Warren Buffet would be paying a lot more than the drug addict.
What? So your answer is just increase tax to cover food, when the majority of Americans buy their own food already? Why not just tax everyone 100% of their income and provide them housing, food and utilities so they can live a worry free life? A kind of "work for room and board" program for the entire population. Isn't that socialism? Pretty soon people figure out that they shouldn't be working so hard - because they get the same benefits everyone else gets for not working, and you have a disaster.
A commons trait of haughty condescending arrogant self righteous bleeding heart bat shit crazy liberal loons.
