Wrong! Which is quite surprising coming from someone who supposedly read the Federalist Papers.

It was the anti-federalists, who opposed ratification of the Constitution, that feared a tyranny of the elite.

Save it. I have no interest in discussing the fictional Lincoln that a bunch of ranting, paranoid gold-bugs have created in their revisionist history.

    What an astounding idiot.

Notable Federalists, like Alexander Hamilton, were against the inclusion of the Bill of Rights because they thought it would be interpreted restrictively as the only Rights afforded to the People. Their concerns were that a Bill of Rights WOULD LIMIT FREEDOM.

Anti-Federalists were against ratification of the Constitutions First Draft, a Constitution that didn't include the Bill of Rights, but only those powers afforded to the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. Anti-Federalists felt Liberty needed to be enumerated, otherwise, Tyranny would result.

Both sides were 100% pro-Freedom and anti-Tyranny, dipstick. The only difference between either camp was HOW BEST TO PROTECT IT.

Federalist thought States would be the best defenders of it. While Anti's wanted it defined in the Constitution.

    What else.

The well-documented contemptuous smite the Founders had for Central Banks is now "fiction", huh? Now you're gonna protest that Lincoln wasn't a Founder so his assailing of Central Banks is irrelevant!!! LOL

As for the Constitution, its obvious to anyone with a half nut rolling around it was designed to thwart a Tyranny of the Minority, aka Government, aka the Powerful Interests that influence/control it.

Let me give you a clue. Special Interests weren't an invention of the 21st Century!

Google General Smedly Butler and take it in, nice and deep.

Not quite. The Bill of Rights came after the Constitution.

The Constitution was completed in 1787, ratified in 1788 and became our operational government in 1789.

The Bill of Rights, the first 10 Amendments to the Constitution, were not added until 1791.

Anti-Federalists -- the Articles of Confederation, which was the country's first constitution.

Federalists -- the federal republic as defined in the second, and current, Constitution.

  6. I can't, we have fires nearby and the air is so bad I can't exercise and wifey is up at the other house.... I've nothing better to do than research worst case scenarios, leave me alone, I'm not hurting anybody!!

Funny thing, I read that article by the guy from Argentina, he mentioned M!A's and Mausers... my neighbor and I just were at the range midweek, guess what we had... yup .30 cal semi auto carbine M1 [what a sweet little assault tool] and Mauser 8mm [can we say "head shot at 200 yards" ?]..

I did not know that Argentines were going through such a terrible time, we hear a few overview stories about other places and it goes in one ear, picks up speed and exits the other ear.. those first hand accounts are the greatest.. that's why I used to read Soldier of Fortune, they always had those eyewitness stories of hot spots and interesting situations...

  7. first off i'm canadian...

second off i highly doubt china is stupid enough to shoot themselves in the foot. they will push for the USD to not be the reserve currency of the world, not dump USD to spite the US. china has enough problems now with their own economy to mess with their exports by dumping dollars.

sorry to have to smack you fellow Canadian but you are wrong

how can you possibly tell me what can and can not be

how can you be authority on what is possible

do you want to know what a really smart person or nation does

a smart leader does not contemplate what can not possibly happen

a smart leader makes sure that his nation is not put in a vulnerable position in the first place

In War and politics. You have to be the one holding the leverage

not be the one under the leverage and HOPE the other party won't use it

think about it, think how did USA get here in the first place

the entire world should model itself after Canada, we have 4 MAJOR parties, we have close to true democracy, Bush would be impeached in Canada long ago maybe even hanged :)
