  1. Guys - I meant 'International Flavors & Fragrances,' and NOT 'International Fragrances & Technology,' in my prior post.

Mods, if you could, please change that as it's too late to edit.

IFF is the company that puts chemical flavor in everything from Whoppers at Burger King to Starburst to Ice Cream and Donuts.

And yes, check out that documentary on Monsanto.

Monsanto is the evil empire. I know there will always people who defend the indefensible, whether here or elsewhere, but if you learn of the business practices of Monsanto, you will discover truly a company with no ethics, morality, conscience or concern for human health.

Go off the record with a knowledgeable farmer and buy them a few drinks and you'll get to know things you didn't know were possible or legal in modern day U.S.A.

  2. Monsanto is despised by many farmers. why, because they are very aggressive about protecting their patents. but still farmers want their product because it is the best. their seeds can double yields. but it is very expensive so you get a few farmers who try to save seed from the prior crop to save money. the problem is when the first bought monsanto seed they agreed that they were not allowed to do so. Monsanto goes after these guys with a vengence. sometimes it is accidental ie left over seed in a combine or a storage bin gets mixed in with regular seed and Monsanto is unsympathetic and overly agressive giving them a bad reputation. they are just like the music industry suing college kids for millions for music download. still farmers chose to use the seed even though there are many varities of seed without these restrictions.

"When farmers buy the seed, they have to sign a contract that outlines the
rules of use. For example, they are not allowed to save any of the seed
from their crop to plant the next season. Saving seed is a common practice
used for thousands of years, but Monsanto forbids it, requiring farmers to
buy new seed from the company every year."

  3. That's one of many reasons, and you're buying into the Monsanto spin machine.

Monsanto actually wages campaigns where they spray crop fields of farmers they suspect of using roundup ready seed, and in cases where their suspicions are wrong, this simply killed the crops, and Monsanto tried to disavow any knowledge of what happened.

They are despised for trying to patent many naturally occurring varieties of seeds, for making minor alterations to seeds and claiming patents, for producing literally toxic (to animal and human health) growth hormones, dairy yield enhancers, bulking agents, pesticides and herbicides...

    ...I could go on but I won't.

    It's all public information.

  5. ByLo, Wild Harvest brand has vegetables frozen with no pesticides, no genetic altering. And milk with no hormones. The cows eat feed with no pesticides and herbicides if you like milk. I can not drink any cow milk because of lactose.
That is very interesting about Monsanto. In the article from vehn, Monsanto seed is "invention" How?

  6. Pitiful, absolutely pitiful.

Absolutely, completely pathetic, as I have now said multiple times.

UNFOUNDED - was your statement that these disproved or were a challenge to theistic evolution. I already said THEISTIC EVOLUTIONISTS DO NOT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH EXTINCTION EVENTS OR HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF YEAR PERIODS.

I didn't say extinction events were unfounded - you are in such a hurry to talk, you don't even understand what you are objecting to.

    Completely, totally pathetic and pitiful.

Try rereading to understand before engaging your mandible.

Why have I wasted this time with someone who is incapable of holding a semi-intellectual conversation???

Time to put you on ignore. You keep proving everything I said, and this is getting repetitious

Go home, little boy. I will not be reading any more of your 7th grade logic. It is too painful when someone does not even grasp his own questions.

spare everyone the pain and put this in your mouth the next time you think you have something wise to say

go ahead post, I no longer need to see it...

Nice. Turning a question into a statement.

If that's the best you can do, then by all means, put me on ignore.

    What a friggin' dipstick...
