Interestingly, building six remained standing, despite being crushed and burnt. They had to use a controlled demolition to bring it down!

Maybe WTC 6 had better connectors than WTC 1, 2 and 7?

 

Pulling gets it's meaning from the practice of blowing a central support first, such that it pulls the rest of the building in toward itself. This way it falls in on itself, rather than out onto other buildings.

So when you decide to pull a building, then you stand back and watch it collapse...which is what they did. But because Silverstien is not considered a pro demolitions guy, he is allowed to use the word with a double meaning. Indians call it "fork-tongue".

This hi res overhead photo shows that fires could not bring down the steel buildings IN BETWEEN the two towers and WTC7...despite the poundings they took from falling debri. Why fire not take those down, but take down WTC 7?
