Flying first class and not coach, why?

  1. Yes, they are a very good airline, one of the best in terms of service, just don't go coach if you're > 6'.

  4. Lol no. Sadly the biz class is super expensive! I have a rule, any flight over 20 minutes I have to fly business/first class :0

I understand tall or obese people have difficulty feeling comfortable in coach seats on some airlines, but what if you bought two tickets for two side-by-side seats, it is still cheaper than a first-class one, no?

Besides, I think airlines should make such provisions to have a few special coach seats with more room for tall or obese people. Maybe they intentionally have their seats spaced so that they know some people would just buy the first class tickets because of this. I don't know what the laws require as the minimum spacing between the two rows of seats.

  6. Your premise below is flawed because it implies that SPACE is the ONLY reason to fly first class.

In fact, Brazilian airlines charge heavy passangers extra. Supposedly, it takes more fuel to carry a heavy passenger.

+1 make them pay extra and have some extra wide seats for them, so the rest don't have to suffer.

It's all about the type of person you are:

Some people like to spend their money on "things" such as houses, cars, boats, clothes, jewelry, etc. because owning these items gives them a sense of accomplishment and empowerment.

Some people like to spend their money on experiences, such as vacations, first-class travel, luxury hotel accommodations and fine restaurants. These people put "making new memories" as a high priority in life.

Some people have a phobia about the future, and therefore like to use their money for security purposes, such as investments, extended warranties, all types of insurances, and retirement accounts.

Some people like to spend their money on absolutely nothing, and therefore derive pleasure primarily from watching their net worth grow.
