100% correct, your my favorite person for a day :)

Truth is, they can't stop a virus without people never leaving there houses for 6months, nobody can afford that.

UK ONS Stat's, 15K actual covid deaths, not just tested with, Extra deaths 45K from the lockdowns and there still doing lockdowns FFS!!

Then you get muppets complaining it's Trump / Boris fault, errr no it's a virus, no big deal move on.

Everyone has lost there minds with FEAR!!

I still see a lot of the same people posting misinformation and disinformation about the Flu and Covid-19.

For example, stating Covid-19 is not new when in fact Coronaviruses are not new but Covid-19 is in fact a new type of Coronavirus.
Currently, there's still no approved vaccine and we're now overloading the hospitals with hospitalization because its the start of the Seasonal Flu. Therefore, people should be getting their vaccinations for the Flu to prevent hospitals from treating too many Flu patients when they already have their hands full with Covid-19 patients.

Another intentional tactic by those trying to misinform is via comparing Covid-19 Pandemic to the Seasonal Flu. You really can't do that yet until / if Covid-19 becomes seasonal as in repeats about the same time each year.

Simply, Covid-19 is new...scientists are still learning about it. Regardless, if there's going to be a comparison...individuals should first learn the difference between a Seasonal Flu versus a Pandemic Flu.

Therefore, best to compare Covid-19 Pandemic to the Pandemic Flu.

Therefore, best to compare Covid-19 Pandemic to the Pandemic Flu. Apples to Apples comparison instead of Apples to Oranges (Pandemic versus Seasonal)

EXTRA DEATHS, these aren't Covid Deaths, these are EXTRA Deaths caused by Lockdowns, obviously Covid is a virus that's killing people can't really stop that, all you can do is slow it down if needed, which turns out wasn't.

In the UK Actual Covid deaths via ONS data not just tested with in the last 28days are approx 15K, Total Extra deaths are 60K so 45K are none covid EXTRA Deaths.

45K more have died statistically this year on top of the Covid Actual Deaths.

Factor in the Global Depression, the Cancers diagnosed to late, the health care suspended and the EXTRA Death toll is going to sky rocket.

Understand ?? ofcourse not! Covid Bad, Covid Kill, must lockdown, must wear clothe over my face, why are people still dying, no no no not allowed to think that, all is great, we are saved.

I never stated that lockdown is good or covid is bad.

    I leave judgement to others.

Lockdowns are good for countries not prepare (e.g. lacks PPE, no organized effort to design a vaccine, refusal to wear face mask / social distance / wash hands) and has a healthcare system not able to manage over capacity hospitalization.

Lockdowns are bad for countries that are prepare and have the majority of the population doing what it takes to protect its citizens especially those with underlying medical conditions and the elderly. Also, they have a healthcare system able to manage over capacity hospitalization.

Yet, no lockdowns are bad if the goal is to achieve herd immunity. The latter requires several years at the minimum plus a vaccine or large number of deaths per capital. Usually governments will look at the prediction models to determine the number of deaths with a no lockdown policy. They then discuss it with their health officials to determine if the number of deaths are tolerable and come up with a plan to minimize the number of deaths.

Unfortunately, some countries will exceed those number of deaths and then begin targeted restrictions to minimize the damage. As the number of target restrictions begin the increase...populations begin to wonder if the initial large number of deaths was worth it considering they're now being restricted.

Other countries with a better healthcare system and that did not lockdown will look pretty while the rest of the world goes to shit.

No matter what we say at a trader discussion forum...governments know their people better than most do here at Elitetrader.com

Thus, governments will do what's best for their citizens. The governments that are not able to manage a Pandemic...the government will be short lived and a new government will be elected as shown in the history of Pandemics.
