Can anyone recommend some basic, cheap (sub $50) software for creating program flowcharts? I'm just looking to make rectangles and decision diamonds and connect them with arrows.

  5. If it's still being published, ABC Flowcharter (originally by Micrografx) was great for that and other chart creation needs.

Haven't used it in a long while and don't know if it's still around though.

You can also check Programmer's Paradise - http://www.pparadise.com

  7. I don't know how much it is, but Visio is a solid app.

  8. I have been using Edge Diagrammer for years. It is a great program for flowcharts. I first learned of it in systems class and have never used anything else since.
