That's an NRA argument. A Not Relevant Argument. Do you really believe that all that is publish to defend guns is honest??? Are you really so naive, or just corrupt. It is clear that thousands of people die every year over and over again. Whether there are 500 more, or less, does not change anything to the problem. Thousands die every year, that is the reality.
And also start to deal with the root cause of kids who can't even drink yet getting sexy slick ARs like in their video games, plus a still shabby system of mental health treatment. From what I've read over that last few days, this kid and most others research extensively for a role model to copycat. Soon one will just take out the guard (s) first and that will be copycatted. Then one might use a secondary weapon (I won't detail for obvious reasons but you know, the simple jets of fire device) and kill/maim hundreds. Many will wish they were shot. And that will be copycatted. These things have and will continue to evolve unless the root cause is treated. Comrade Poindexter below is trying to create smoke to further partisan division so nothing will get done. 21-24 age limit for ARs and possibly handguns for non-military trained kids, I favor 24. A non BS look at mental health.
Excellent article, Mr. Tom. Had we honestly debated prior shootings and made fact-based adjustments, this shooting might have been prevented. We'll never know but what is certain is that there were colossal system failures. It's also a fact that inanimate objects (like "assault weapons") don't commit murder. And that liberals will use any "opportunity" to restrict legal gun ownership while doing little or nothing to address root causes like mental illness and criminality. A leftist's idea of "common sense gun control" is as common sense as the "Affordable Care Act" is affordable. "When you see something, say something." Yeah, right. Wrong Mr. schweiz. YOUR argument is not relevant since you're not a citizen and you have no say. You do have the right to your uninformed opinion, but it's not sound because you have no clue about what is fact versus fiction, you don't know jack shit about our laws or our Constitution, you don't understand our culture, and you don't know our history.
I have a suggestion: maybe the US can try to fight the CAUSE of all the problems and not the consequences of the problem. If that is not a good idea I suggest that each American citizen receives a security team 24/7 to protect them, bullet proof clothes, an armored car, a direct line to the police in case of an emergency... How far should the idiocy go before the US understands what the problem is? In Europe we have no protection in schools, don't need it, and there are no school shootings nor thousands of deaths of gunfire. And there are far more (potential) terrorists in Europe. American citizens manage to kill more innocent people then terrorists can in Europe. Proving that the guns again terrorist argument is pure nonsense. American citizens do the job without help of terrorists. They are so good that terrorists get unemployed.
But I know how many get killed each year, or is everybody lying??? https://www.nytimes.com/2016/06/14/...ath-rates-the-us-is-in-a-different-world.html
He is for sure American as they are the only people on earth who think like that. The rest of the world uses common sense.
