Allowing them to drink alcohol would reduce school shootings? How does that work? I agree on having to be 21 to purchase a firearm.
A judge once said in an open courtroom that if excessive drinking were stopped, the courthouse could be closed down because it would be no longer needed.
So all shooters are alcoholics? Are you sure that this judge was not drunk? The majority, or even all, the killers were sober when they acted.
The asshole doesn't even have hair on his stoopid face , but he was a wannabe supremacist . Why isn't the murder being called terrorism ? Florida gunman trained with white supremacist militia group before school shooting The man charged in this week’s Florida school shooting allegedly trained with a white supremacist group. A spokesman for the right-wing Republic of Florida group claimed accused gunman Nikolas Cruz had been “brought up” by another member of the organization and took part in at least one training exercise in the Tallahassee area, reported ADL. Jordan Jereb, who is believed to be the militia group’s leader, confirmed the association after self-described ROF members claimed on the online 4chan forum that Cruz had been member. The anti-government paramilitary group, which is only a few years old, describes itself as a “white civil rights organization fighting for white identitarian politics” and promotes the creation of a “white ethnostate.” Jereb told ADL that his group had not directed Cruz to commit the shooting at his former school, and he said the ROF did not support his action.
Good point. The judge was being a bit hyperbolic, but excessive use of alcohol is a factor in many shootings. Teenage drinking, regardless of legal drinking age is a problem as well. So some say reducing the legal drinking age is a solution? I say, salude! Some cultures define age of majority as thirteen years old. Most U.S. states it is later. Unfortunately, children mature at different rates and there will always be laggards. The most effective solution would be derived from a cultural-level change.
Ok, so if that is so, why not make the rule "restrict anyone from owning a gun under 21"? What does drinking have to do with it?
If true, it absolutely should be called domestic terrorism. Not sure some self-described 4chan poster can mean that should be taken as gospel, but if the Fed's confirm it, then hell yeah. I do note how fast this information supposedly came to light in the media. If the shooter's name were Mustafa Mohammed Aziz, I'm sure it would get little to no air time.
You must be talking about the school shootings. I don’t know if alcohol was involved in any of them or not. Are you sure you know? Many, if not most serious car accidents, domestic violence, and assault are alcohol related. This includes some violence involving the use of guns. Unless you are saying gun use cures excessive alcohol use!
I wanted to demonstrate the idiocy of the rules. Instead of attacking the worst of the two problems, they took the "less" problematic one. Guns are a much bigger problem in bodycounts then drinking. And the majority who die because of alcohol are the alcoholics themselves, while in the shootings 99% are innocent people who die. So the numbers are not so important, more important is who are these deaths?
