So tell me again how someone in PhD GIS program is not a Data Scientist, governor? Can you tell us again what her state job title was? Or are you too busy slut shaming her to address the actual COVID data issues involving your administration?
Dude....get a grip. Some of you guys are losing your minds. Jones has not alleged any tampering with data on deaths, hospital symptom surveillance, hospitalizations for COVID-19, numbers of new confirmed cases, or overall testing rates — core elements of any assessment of the outbreak and of federal criteria for reopening. And Jones acknowledges Florida has been relatively transparent — for which she herself claims some credit — and relatively successful in controlling the pandemic. https://miami.cbslocal.com/2020/05/...ting-health-department-policy-public-remarks/
They have to be wrong (the stats). They have to be forged. It can't be that the model calling for the end of the world was wrong. Florida is throwing the "science" on its face, it just. can't. be!
yeah, she was "asked" to do so is the whole point of the thread. These are her allegations: A senior official asked for the entire dashboard to be taken offline because it provided too much data; She was asked to massage the data for specific rural counties so that they met the statistical criteria to re-open; The state has changed the way COVID-19 testing positivity rates are calculated to better suit the governor's arguments; does the smear change the fact that: she created Florida's COVID-19 data portal for refusing to manipulate data. or that she single-handedly created two applications in two languages, four dashboards, six unique maps with layers of data functionality for 32 variables covering a half a million lines of data? maybe FL shouldn't be hiring "incompetent data chiefs".
The only comment I saw from her was rescinded when she said essentially that she thought they took her out of context when she refers to the email she wrote that kicked off the whole thing.
You may simply want to watch the video posted by HFM to get some of the context of her allegation regarding county data. She has been interviewed in multiple media outlets in Florida where she outlined the three points HFM posted as her allegations.
I just did. She is making allegations, without any proof. So it is really her word against the state of Florida that is claiming she was fired for sexual harassment charges. She's saying the data she was told to take off (but then put back on, so no data was actually removed) would have prevented opening certain counties. He said, she said.
