And besides, those guys aren't true traders...they are just scalpers and arbers. and other technical misc roles.

That “pit” looks like an employee break room.

 

It's the raw space. The intent was not to hang screens, but bring folks together to facilitate spreads. Maybe someone on the forum has joined to trade and has more color.

I looked through their filings and it appears it's still valid. They tested in May and opened in November of 2017.
