  5. Not a great profitability wise.. but psychologically very nice day.

I kept myself detached from the market .. was very patient..

when the 10:00 craziness started I knew I wasn't going to take a trade for quite a while.. until the dust settled..

  6. Good job.

Entering the market only when you know what's going on is a neat rule to build upon. You had a nice day. Keep it up.

  8. Keep it going.

I am going to join you in your endavor, too working on my discipline. Today was a good day for me (4.75-2+0.5+3+1=7.25 ES pts), but not disciplinewise. Could have made more if stuck to my guns. Anyway, I plan to start my trading journal soon too, perhaps already on Monday.

  9. Jeff,

    Well done.

I notice you had a plan for that Inside Gap.

Great entry and I also notice that the bar after your entry moved up (trade going against you briefly)...

you patiently waited through that and was rewarded.

Nice volatile trading day I'm sure caught many traders off guard...

    almost sneaky like.

Simply...days like today usually isn't a good day for traders without a plan...

you having a plan right from the beginning helped get things started in the right direction...

psychologically helping you with your patience and discipline for the remainder of the trading day.
