I'd still consider getting the book if I were you. Won't hurt, and you'll know a bit more about sleep than you knew before.
The 22 floor climb and descent pumping 2x35 pound kettlebells will catch most people's attention at 4.30am I assure you haha. It surprises me how many people ignore they have one of the best pieces of exercise equipment around, the emergency fire stairs.
I am a little afraid of knowing too much but I'll have a look. As with trading: "Where ignorance is bliss, 'tis folly to be wise.” Thomas Gray I believe it is too easy to over-think and fit/force to a system things that are just a bit messy in reality. We had discussed before how my scalping style is less measured and more like dirt road rally driving perhaps. You like more neat setups. Though in this instance I feel a bit stupid starting a thread when sauna and ice after exercise is what many do anyway. Doah. I was very very tired.
Careful there, you might turn Republican. Apart from the dos and don'ts, the book clarifies some misconceptions that people have about sleep and dealing with insomnia. Anyway, whatever works, eh?
Yeah, that part rings true. I (more than) occasionally find myself overthinking stuff, and not to my advantage.
Yes, the weather is fine in central and south america.Few things i don`t like is dogs are barking 24/7 and lots of little kids.I mean tons of kids.
Tons of kids and stupid dogs cause me insomnia.I should move to Mars next.I`m a misanthrope, i guess.
Might be the neighborhood, it is bad in the countryside when every house you pass has a psycho sounding guard dog. I have noticed the dogs here but I must say Colombians are very good dog and horse owners (popular with rich Colombians), at least this city. Dogs rarely fight when people are walking. Kids, I never notice them really around here. The solution to a quiet life here is live in an upper middle class neighborhood in the city. In the development I'm in no loud music allowed after 10.30pm in the week and midnight at the weekends. It is mostly birthday parties in apartments with the balcony doors open. In the countryside..no way to control it. You are in an idyllic spot but can hear three different sound systems from people's 'fincas' - weekend country homes. Costa Rica is expensive though, double the price of Panama generally and Panama is near double here for many things like rent and utilities.
Word.I tried city, but don`t quite like b/c of the heavy traffic, poluted air, stupid bikers with no mufflers, etc, but always prefered suburb. But here suburbs are not like suburbs in Russia.Had a small fishing factory which was near the river in a small fishing village and we were like 2-3 KM from each other.lol. Overall all is good, nice friendly folks here, apolitical which is very cool. The cost of living is a bit high, though, you are correct.
In the past when I have gone into dieting mode, I sometimes had trouble falling asleep. I thought dietary changes might have been the cause, with the primary change being a significant decrease in carbs. That's just a personal observation...I never researched it. I didn't change much else in my diet or training routine (other than normal changes to keep things from stagnating in the gym). When I got used to the diet, I didn't feel like I needed the sleep I was losing by not being able to fall asleep right away. Just curious, do you sleep better on the nights you do pizza? Working out at night has also been a factor in the past, dieting or not. Baron's suggestion of ZMA worked well for me (still does). I use the brand he pictured. If you take two or three of those, you might also experience vivid dreams.
