If the firefighters want to get into a spitting match over decisions made with twenty-twenty hindsight, our side will just have to make sure the public knows about the NYFD decision to recommend that the rooftop doors to the WTC be locked, yes locked, thereby preventing people from getting to the roof and escaping by rescue helicopter. At the end of this fight, it's the nyfd that's gonna look like dog crap. P.S. btw, it's fire code regulations that rooftop doors must be left unlocked, but because the wtc was run by a gov't authority, it was exempt from the regs. (you know, the way the gov't is always exempt from the rules they make for the peons.)
