Firearm Wanted

Discussion in 'Chit Chat' started by theboxer, Dec 11, 2008.

  1. Lots of firearms have gone up in price and gone scarce as well. Don't worry too much; nothing will happen after the inauguration second-amendment-wise. The panic buying will die down and supply will return. If you're patient you'll get your chosen weapon, you just have to wait a few months.

  2. BTW... what version of the ammunition do you use?

    SS192 or SS196/197

There is a SS198 which is restricted to LE/Military use.

    Set up booby traps...

Cut a hole in your front walkway put a rug over it, tiger pit underneath.

Electrify all your window sills from the outside.

Make your first stair a trapped one so something heavy falls onto them.

Play Halloween music all the time.... just because it'd feel really weird to break into somewhere thats playing halloween music.

    Moat

(maybe just watch those home-alone movies from back in the early 90s for some inspiration those criminals got the shit kicked outta them)

  4. Where do you get this stuff from ? The stricter gun controls in Australia in the wake of the Port Arthur massacre have been very successfull in reducing death by homicide and suicide by gunfire. A factor or around 50% for homicide, I believe.

Australia homicde rate by gunfire per head of population is vastly less than the US.

As for Japan deterred from invading US by personal gun ownership, that is just plain ridiculous. The Japanese military, especially the army, was dubious of it's ability to invade Australia, let alone the United States.

  5. Here is something to think about. This is a good article to read.

A homeless man with a history of violent episodes attacks a 57 year old retired school teacher who is a model citizen in the community. The retired school teacher then fires three rounds into the man's chest. He then goes for help, sits down with the police and tells them everything that happened.

He basically did everything he was supposed to do, but still earned 10 years in prison for second-degree murder.

    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15199221/

One thing that was used against him at trial was that he was using a 10-mm pistol which the prosecution argued was more powerful then what most police officers carry.

So the weapons you want to have are the same that your local police department carry. If you get anything else, then it might be used against you later on.

You also want to obtain some training from a local instructor and have that training documented. You want to read all the material out there and maybe even read a book on the legal aspects.

Another mistake that Mr. Fish made was talking to the police. He said everything right to the police, but some of his statements were inconsistent such as the words that the victim were shouting at him. At one point, Mr. Fish had told the police that the victim was yelling at him that he was going to kill him. Later on, he told a grand jury that he couldnt remember.

You never want to talk to the police without an attorney. If you happen to shoot someone, then you basically give them your license, point out any witnesses, tell them that thats the bad guy, your willing to sign a complaint against the bad guy and that you wont say anything more without an attorney. So basically, here is my license, those are the witnesses, thats the bad guy, your willing to sign a complaint against the bad guy and you wont say anything more without an attorney. Simple. The cops will try to intimidate you, but generally no questions should be answered without an attorney present.

So here are some good points to remember:

    1. Buy weapons and rounds that the police use.

    2. Obtain training from an accredited firearms instructor

    3. Read books on the legal aspects and study cases like the Fish case. Maybe even take a course on the legal aspects.

    4. If involved in an incident, provide very basic information identifying the witnesses, yourself and the bad guy. Tell them you are willing to sign a complaint against the bad guy. Say nothing more without an attorney present.

    5. Make every attempt to avoid hostile encounters or you might end up like Mr. Fish.

Get that one. It's got a mil spec action, and has never failed me. It's got a heat shield (cosmetic imo), and a bayonette lug. I don't have a use for the bayonette lug, but have to admit it looks pretty menacing with my ar15 bayonette snapped on it!

Oh I know, the liberals will freak out over a bayonette lug and ban them once odumba gets in office (they'll certainly reanact the assault weapons ban which bush let expire, and ar15's will once again come without it.) Sheer idiots making laws these days. Buy while you still can. Next year you'll wish you had.

  7. The problem with attaching a bayonette and other garb or getting yourself a mil-spec weapon is not the liberals in congress.

The problem lies in the fact that it doesnt look good in front of a jury. The prosecution will argue that your a nut and out to kill with all this gonzo military style weaponry. The prosecutor will hold up your jungle shotgun with the bayonette attached. You will look like a nut.

The best advice is to get yourself the same equipment the police use.

There is something the original poster does not know. You need a permit for any weapon in nyc, pistol, shotgun or rifle.

    Here is the link:

    http://www.nyc.gov/html/nypd/html/permits/gun_licensing_faq.shtml#WhatDoIDoToPurchaseNewHandgun

If any weapons are brought into the city, they must be registered with the police within 72 hours.

    Here is the application.

  8. If I may add. It's perfectly legal for the police to lie to you to manipulate you into a confession. When you do it to them you are going to jail.

A guy I used to work with in telecom was a cop in Monrovia, CA for 2 years. He asked if I killed someone in CA, in self defense, should I tell them I am sorry it was an accident I was defending myself or I meant to kill him? Surprise, I meant to kill him, with add that he was an imminent threat.

When I was in high school, a cop that was cool, told us at an assembly that if we kill someone breaking into to our house to put a steak knife in his hand if doesn't have a weapon! No BS! He said the police would probably know but give the homeowner the benefit of the doubt.

I am a Police Officer. If he wants what I carry, it's a Glock m22 .40 cal. I carry 15 rounds+1 and two 15 round mags on my side. Total of 46 rounds. I carry Winchester Ranger ammo, the Glock has the guide rod swap for the pulsating lazer, and a Wilson's barrel.

As far as the bayonette. Oh yes, a prosecutor will hold that up in front of the jury IF it was attached at the time of the shooting. If not, it will be supressed from evidence, and not allowed to be displayed that way. The weapon has to be displayed to the jury in the same manner and condition in which it was used. If a prosecutor added a bayonette, that would be huge grounds for appeal if convicted. Huge!

Again, I don't recommend the bayonette if he gets the m590. However, he can own one in case this Country falls, and hand-to-hand combat ensues.

As stated earlier, I'd rather be tried by 12 than carried by 6.

Could this great Country fall? Absolutely!!! Let's pray it doesn't, and be prepared as if it will. Ooh rah!!

  10. My choice for home defense:

    12 ga short barrel shotgun

    9mm auto

Looking into some protective armor or vest that I can keep under the bed, that I could slip on fast.
