Finding Work after Quitting Daytrading

Discussion in 'Professional Trading' started by thesniper, Jan 15, 2014.

  1. Sniper,

Try to get into the medical/Hospital field doing administration work. With your financial control experience I think it would be a nice fit.

    Potential jobs:

    1. Office Manager
    2. Finance Dept in a Hospital
    3. Billing Dept

You might have to start at the bottom, but your upside will be good. Probably could work up to 6 figures.

    Good Luck!

  2. I want a family, too, but you can't have one if nobody will have your baby.

  4. Bwol, you've been living with your mommy since 1998. Did you ever leave home? What mental health issues are you dealing with? Sounds like self-esteem and depression issues. You got your priorities turned inside out. Lose your obsession with winning big money, be a man, and stand on your own two feet. Stop trading mommy and daddy's money! You will feel one hell of a lot better about yourself. Trust me; I know what the hell I'm talking about!

OP, this applies to you too. Doesn't really matter what job you select. Just get your head out of the trading for a while, work hard, and stand on your own two feet. You'll feel a lot better about yourself and you might find that your trading is a lot more successful. I bet with the unsuccessful trading you've spent too many years eeking through life, and it makes you feel like crap.

  6. We all make about the same on our trades.

I lived in KC during my marriage and there's no more disciplined person out there when it comes to coding and operating genetically modified automatons that earn your living and will continue to do so as long as you retrain each robot periodically using proximal convergence and elitist, basic replacement genetic algorithms. The Black Box has a part about it just like the human brain that if you practice hard at something over a long period of time as data enters the Hive mind and you put off practicing you'll start to notice performance decay and need to start practicing hard again and that is the theory behind genetic algorithms like the ones I use that there is a point where practicing fails to bring overall improvement and that's actually where the theoreticians studying genetic algorithms that the absolute maximum number of genetic tests any program can possibly be able to analyze numerically is approximately 250,000 of these elitist replacements using proximal convergence in a somewhat probabilistic experiment to demonstrate that genetic algorithms as offered through Multicharts won't ever be able to improve on the quality of their output without guidance in numerical values so I really see my robots as trainable employees or as a teacher to a student who only wants an A+ that the number of drills I know for arguments sake that if a human really were to practice something quantifiable 250,000 times I agree absolutely at some point there would be a point where no discernible improvement in the paths it had taken to arrive at the optimalities it eventually shows for its parameters become the array of inputs to be used in the live trading automaton.

Seriously, there is zero chance unless any of you do use genetic testing to optimize that any of you will ever hope to be as disciplined about algorithmic cognition as I am in my use of Genetic Programming.

  7. This guy is a lost cause. Nobody can help him beside himself. He has to realize he is living a dysfunctional life. I feel sorry for people like this.

  8. Neke, I get into people's heads because I believe telepathy is possible in theory and in my inner voice reading somebody's body language will allow you to hear hardly any speech before already knowing what the person has to say and the psychological aspect to it I articulated in my submission to be a Kentucky Governor's Scholar in 2001 which earned a $60,000 scholarship to Centre College which I really learned by participating in two great Music Education Instructor's Programs for over 7 years besides learning how to divide a quarter note of a bar into divisions fractionally to a triplet sixteenth and sixteenth triplet that are not the same beats to a measure.

  9. Why? I at least try to discuss my emotions now because the market is just confrontation and difference of opinion all day. If I want to have that I'll just go back to staring at my chart but where most repressed anger and post traumatic stress comes from for me is the fact I am not allowed to do any calls because I trust and have learned to use such modern day financial analytic and quantitative methods like robotic technology that can learn, not adapt. The difference between learning and adaptation is that adaptation implies there was discovery of a flaw in an approach but learn means to have been trained correctly with help without delay in the discovery of a flaw so in my approach I don't believe it's at all possible for any of you to be as disciplined as I am in allowing my robots to teach themselves how to learn correctly from the start so in what I believe is the key difference might be one traders exhaustive analysis insistence to only use that type of optimization which is an adaptation that is completely using an entire life cycle of analysis to study before choosing those parameters versus finding out the answer more efficiently using the genetic programs I've discussed previously.

The point is it isn't possible for code I've locked for a number of years now and plan to always follow to be in any way affected by my own emotions today and that's where I find an ability to really know who understands trading on elitetrader.
