Finding the Holy Grail

  1. A quote from one of ET's traders...

then run it up or down out of the zone so they are jammed.

    this is called the reset.

you retail idiots hope they will take it down one more time to let you out.

if they have not collected enuf orders, they will ....

they run it down 27 more pips....right where you clowns put your stops.

they see all your pendings on their admin. platform .

if they still do not have enuf to go, they wait 30 min to 2 hours and will spike it one more time

to catch all the fresh meat in the last sideways period with pendings.

  2. Even if one has all of the keys necessary for profitable consistent trading laid out for them, only a very small portion have the discipline to use it correctly.

It takes years of experience to gain that insight and discipline.

There's no easy "holy grail" . There are however many ways to profit from the market.

  5. It is a strategy that helps you trade that I believe you're referring to. This took the time from May 2003 to January 2010 or 6 and a half years. I don't know if one is the holy grail or not. Certainly seems to be. Has all the characteristics of the holy grail, like:

    works on anything
    works most of the time
    works in any time frame

Win percentages above 60% are very good for trading.

I keep reading stuff like this here and elsewhere. It is always stated as gospel without a shred of evidence to support it. Most trading failures are the result of NOT having a plan, or decent keys. To state that having these things would make no difference for most traders is merely groundless cynicism.

As Jack Shwager said: trading should be easy, but only if you've done all the hard work (designing, testing, money management) ahead of time.

A strange post to find in a trading forum.

Are you here to save us from ourselves? :D :D

  10. Finding it took less than a minute, seeking it took a lot longer.
