Here is what's available lawfully in about 100 places in West L.A. alone. http://legalmarijuanadispensary.com...y-collective-hash-bar-coffee-shop-&Itemid=118 BTW: I don't believe the government should have a goddamn thing to do with it...no taxes, no fees, no oversight, no nothing. Government involvement simply creates a legally sanctioned black market.
Fighting crime that you (the state) creates is stupid , wasting money on draconian enforcement and sustained imprisonment is certainly a cost burden on society. Not to mention the poverty that being labeled a criminal has a tendency to cause. The whole point of legalization should not to be to tax the shit out of it but to remove the costs (violence) associated with the illegality. If police served to protect merchants and customers it would certainly reduce costs. As it is now those in the illegal drug trade must inherently offer both protection and business disagreements extra-legally (ie violence or threat of violence). Spare me your moral crap, gubbermint has no business telling adults what they can and cannot consume.
Great dumbass politicians always seeking something to tax , salivate at idea of taxing junk food to protect you from a "potential adverse behavior". watch for efforts to ban anything you like to eat. Now of course they have to do this so as to not appear massively hypocritical in the war on drugs. But wait : If drugs and eating are seen as potentially similar why isn't this viewed as reason for legalizing drugs?
