FINALLY passed TopstepTrader's Combine!

Discussion in 'Prop Firms' started by JamesEM, Sep 17, 2016.

  1. It's called encouraging the guy, we not calling him super-trader, just sending some good vibes, some best wishes on his acceptance; I just said "good job" LOL

  2. ...:po_O...I agree...alot of people, or traders, with so-called credentials and book brains and what not...can't trade, or trade profitably, for shit.
    That's a fact. Just sayin.

Yeah, not referring to anyone in particular in this thread, but generally speaking: Everyone's a tough-guy/expert/genius/guru when behind a keyboard. People weren't so rude prior to the interwebs...uncalled-for disrespect had real-world consequences. The typical hater message is: 1) You can't do it. Or if you are, in fact, doing it; the message becomes: 2) You can't do it much longer.

If everyone was required to post their trades live or use a service that tracks their trades, we'd have an environment more conducive to encouraging others to share information.

Recent message from Denzel Washington to haters:

“Those who can, do, those who can’t do talk about those who can. Now can you or can you not? Or are you just one that sits on the sideline to talk about other people or can you step up?”

I suspect these types of haters suck at trading. And they say misery loves company.

Congrats to the OP...TODAY! What difference does it make to me whether he ultimately fails, or achieves his goal. Saying congrats at passing a milestone doesn't cost me anything. If he achieves his goal, I'll say 'nice job!' If he doesn't, I'll say 'nice try!' GL next time!

Alright people, I will explain it one more time....

Because passing the Combine is pretty much nothing. It is nothing but a PR tool for TST. They toot how many people passed it, they never toot how many traders made at least 5K with them, an actually meaningful number.

Even passing the FTP is kind of meaningless, but at least there the rules are the same as in the Live trading. But the combine with its used to be completely arbitrary and ridiculous rules? (what they defended as very important for years, by the way)

So let's get real. You are eventually either make money from TST or not. Everything else is bullshit. We had at least 3 white knights in the TST thread saying they are going to show us and we never heard from them again. Actually through 5 years of TST history here, I only recall 1 guy who made some money with them but after a few months he chose to leave them. 1 guy in 5 years.... Just think about it for a moment...

Most likely the OP will end up the same way, but OK let's give him the benefit of doubt and revisit this thread in every 2 weeks to see where he is. My bet is that 6 weeks or less this thread will be a VERY QUIET PLACE.

So please don't ask us to celebrate to reach a very meaningless cobblestone, because we know better and we have been here, done that, got the cake, ate it and nothing happened.

    See you in 2 weeks.Godspeed....

The only test that counts is being able to trade your own account up. If a trader does not have enough capital than should not be trading. Paying somebody for their training and certification means only the seller of the training made money on that deal.

The OP didn't ask anyone to celebrate. Nor did the OP ask for unsubstantiated (with respect to the OP's skill or situation or goals) negative feedback. ET members can therefore choose to give positive responses with respect to a fellow member achieving a milestone that many others fail to achieve, or give unqualified negative responses with respect to the same.

Again, I didn't celebrate, I said congrats...like civil people do in such circumstances. Rather than be a Negative Nancy, I would simply be silent, in this case, if I had nothing positive to say. But that's me. Some believe that by shooting down as many posters as possible, that they've somehow, established themselves as some sort of guru etc. IMO.

Again, I'm directing this more generally and not to Pekelo.

I previously spoke upon just how negative anonymous (with respect to their own UNsubstantiated trading results) posters can be.

I challenge anyone with a record of being more negative than not on this site, to post their own trades real-time or point us to a link substantiating their trading prowess.

You got it babe. TST is not feasible. Trust me on this. The following pic is simply not attainable with TST. Understand that.

If you want more, I have it. The above type of performance CANNOT be had with TST and their rules. It is impossible.

But my point had nothing to do with TST. I asked for confirmation that the regular, Negative Nancy's on this site, are successful traders. Either by posting some trades near-real time, or pointing us to a respected link that shows their documented trades.

It's real easy to squat on the sidelines and tell everyone else that has the courage to post their situations publicly, what they're doing wrong. I want to see how many of those individuals can actually trade better than they chat and actually walk what they talk. It doesn't take any nerve to simply and just talk negatively about everyone else...unnecessarily.
