In basically every job a lowly peon blue-collar worker has ever tried to apply for. Many of them do not have academia. They have proven track-records. But employers seem to not care about that sort of thing, at least that is the way it was for the previous 30 years I have been working in the ass-busting service-based industry. They want your simple piece of paper that shows you graduated from a college when you apply, not what you had accomplished previously. Else they would not even CONSIDER you for employment. So now my body is broken, I have no academia, and my intelligence and previous track-record means absolutely DICK to an employer these days. Look at how they make you answer all these personality tests online before they even get to see your resume, or CV. Without a college degree, nobody wants ya', man.

Sucks man, but ya either adapt, find another way or die. Soon predictive algos will tell you what you are allowed to be at birth-- so enjoy your freedom when you can.

Yes. The freedom to be homeless. Because you should never lie in life, and so should not lie on tests or in interview questions. It sucks to stand for something, such as integrity of being. Folks who do stand for hearty beliefs about work ethic seem to get shucked to the curb. People with integrity in that fashion get a hearty FU in their face. Alas, 'tis the way of things these days.

You should never go through HR. You need to get in touch with a decision maker. Someone in the business. Comb through your friends contact lists, ask around, check whether there is someone working in the industry from your local clubs, or what have you. I don't know where you live but you can call up head hunters and show them your track record. There are tons of head hunters who would give and arm and a leg for being able to refer someone with a proven track record.

That is not true. I believe I live a life of utmost integrity and I have survived at various trading desks at investment banks for over 12 years before I became independent. It was not easy but I told my bosses early on that i am not even into white lies. That included my refusal of telling clients or other interbank dealers on the phone that my boss was out of the office when he was actually sitting right next to me but did not want to talk to them. I simply refused to do so. A few ridiculed me for that attitude to life but the overwhelming majority absolutely respected and even supported it. I became the go to person for a lot of issues involving internal politics because everyone knew that stuff with me stays confidential and that I don't gossip. It can be done if one is resolute.

I have earned and saved more money than most on my level (director when I left the industry) because I did not waste any money on drugs, whores, sports cars, priced vacations with escorts, and all the other shebang.

Trading is perhaps the only biz that radical honesty can work in.

Possibly true. In most other professions one can't survive unless one engages in office politics

Your argument is equal to saying I should use meth instead of cocaine when the end results ia the same ?

Why prolong the 95% of the dreamers journey ?

Bullshit. As if there were only those 2 choices. How about cleaning up.?how about being an adult and taking responsibility and living in reality not dream land? If someone cannot make money in a paper trading account he can never make money in a live account. If one cannot make money with a small live account he can never make big bucks. A track record that is noteworthy on a small live accoubt will always get your foot into the door.

The problem is that most are dreamers they think they can get rich quick. No, most everyone can't. That's the truth but many refuse to believe it. They somehow think they are special. But their track record shows they are not. Text book definition of delusion.

  10. To provide full transparency, TST just has to do the following:

Show the balance of each live "funded" trader on Day 10 with reference to the combine traded.
