Made several mistakes today by not waiting for bar close to initiate position. As a result there were two stopouts on the YM for 100 points and a russel stop for 30 points. still ahd a positive day due to the excellent trending today.
since I am in a good mood today, let me do you a favor. stop wasting time on this CCI thing, or any other spagetti indicator thing.... it's not gonna work.
I would like to thank everyone for checking out my thread. I am suprised by the lack of constructive input. the caliber of posts reinforces my belief that there is a specific reason why %95 of traders fail. Another suprise is the most popular threads have nothing to do with trading. They have names like, Why are traders fat and bald? Or , What does your trading set up look like. Aside from a few ambiguous negative warning posts, " No system ever works just give up", there has been few if any constructive posts. i will finish out the week but i will not continue to waste my time in this fashion if things do not improve.
Hello Mr blue Good on you for posting your decisions trading the woodies cci system, I noticed the last two of your ghost patterns could actually be construed as Vegas patterns as well, which gives more weight to the potential reversal. I enjoy your tread keep it up mate
Hi Mrbluelegs, Writing a journal is for the most part a thankless effort unless there are several contributors who trade the same system on the same time frame for the same instruments and willing to spend time in public discussions. I trade CCI for several years now (it does works and I explained why in my earlier post on this thread) on HSI and DAX futures (mostly DAX now) of volume charts. I would not mind discussing it, but we trade different markets on different charts. If you want to discuss CCI nuances I would be more that willing to do it. We can also take it off line and do it via Skype. Regards, redduke
hi mrblue I see on your charts you are showing prices and moving averages. How do you use these with the CCI patterns. I have been sim with no price and its been tuff. Redduke I hope you"ll post how you use CCI in your trading also. Thanks Steve
