Do you know its probably more dangerous for you to walk through the streets of Newark, NJ or Detroit or Melrose Park, Illinois at night than it is to be soldier deployed in Iraq? Another sad, but equally true, reality.

  2. After everything this gov't has done to devastate your medical health situation and mine, do you still think that our protection is anywhere near the top of their priority list?

  3. Of course; the same people who think depleted uranium isn't a serious health risk, or couldn't be, are the same as brandon.

    Their response, to a documentary with details and facts, even a geiger counter reading , is

    "Its obviously faked"
    "Iraqi/al jazeira propaganda"

    "That cant be true, the levels are less than three mile island"

    "Never did me any harm, i was in mojave for the tests, their pussies"

    "Their ALL pussies-i fought and died in three world wars for this country, how can you question my judgement"

    (the patriot comeback, all my relatives died too etc-they may have done, but its still stoopid)

    And last but not least;

    "That person, making that documentary, is obviously a commie socialist pinko, un-american in principle, and doesn't support the troops-they probably vote democrat, too-never mind the potential impact of our boys being exposed to the same POISON as iraqi kids, THATS irrelevant, and unpatriotic to even MENTION that fact."

    Hell I'm wrong several times a day about a lot of things and it does not hurt my feelings any. If it did I'd be broke. I'm more than willing to be shown where I am wrong, admit it and change my mind.

    That is a level of protection that most people seem to not understand. The politicians though will always be lazy and want to feed off the public tit, and to do that they have to at least make us feel safe or people would realize there is no point in having them at all.

  6. I said, they were the SAME as you-not precisely alike in every aspect, i refer only to the peculiar mentality that seems to be able to ignore a documentary like that, im not about to provide links, do it yourself.

    It is the function of bureacracy, to screw absolutely everything up, even with hindsight, and call it "the best intelligence we had at the time".

    And STILL claim their effort was top notch, well bullshit.

  7. Of course it is, RM.

    That Uncle Sam is averse to your particular condition - and I think I can understand your bitterness - does not mean he wants to see this nation or its citizens laid to waste.

    I agree that it is there job to protect us, I just don't think that attacking Iraq is the way to achieve that goal. In fact I think it achieves the opposite of that goal.
