Fidelity Commisions

Discussion in 'Retail Brokers' started by chawlajack, Jun 12, 2018.

  1. Does Fidelity discount their published commissions? I recently moved some of my accounts from TDA to Fidelity (much better execution). I am about to run out of free trades. Wanted some data points before I talk to them to get discounts.

I’m contemplating to move to Fidelity from TDA , how is the trading platform ?
I had a much better execution under Scottrade.
As for the discount depending on your trading habit , this will influence how much discount they will give you.

Don't do it. Fidelity is incompetent. They botched my wife's 401k rollover and seem to be run by a bunch of right-out-of-d-list-college and barely made it through business school frat guys who don't give 2 shits about your money. If you deal with them, get everything in writing. Don't rely on phone conversations unless you record them.

    chawlajack/ELo,

If you interested in free trading, I can't help with that. If you want a platfrom designed for equity day trading with access to DMA, smart and dark pool routes, with low commissions rates, give us a try. We offer both per share and per trade commissions rates starting at $0.0045/share or $4.50/trade.

This is the short answer-both. Lightspeed Trading LLC and Sterling Trading Tech were both owned by the same holding company up to May 1 when Lightspeed Trading LLC merged with Lime Brokerage. Now we are Lightspeed, a division of Lime Brokerage and Sterling Trading Tech is an independent technology company that owns Lightspeed Trader, Sterling Trader Pro and LVX. We have the same CEO and use most of their software. We can have them customize these to our needs.
