    Questions:

    1. Which are the current industry lowest broker for futures trading? (emini, miniDow)
(please pm me, if you don't want to disclose)

Velocity charges as low as $2.52 per round turn on emini trades based on volume. Our highest rate is $3.90. We do offer honeymoon rates for new customers with lower volumes.

    2. Most futures brokers do not advertise their rates, they will customize rates for new prospective clients. By experience, which brokers are willing to give you lower rates than FfastTrade, after negotiation?

Velocity does advertise it's rate schedule to make it easy on the customer. Generally our rates are so low that we don't need to negotiate. But, we do offer some honeymoon deals for traders with less volume for 1-2 months.

    Try out Global Futures www.daytrade4less.com

If your account is $25,000 and above the rates are very competitive.

TT does have a market maker function or bracket trading whereby it posts a bid and an offer at the same time and you can be on both sides of the market with one keystroke or click.

  5. Any trading platform MUST have the following:

    Be controllable from the keyboard
Have configurable bracket orders (stop order and target limit order automatically entered right after the fill on the primary order).

    It should have:

API open to retail users (so I could create my own trading framework if I had some very specific requirements or to control trading with a computer).

I don't need a lot of graphics, buttons or a control panel that looks like it comes from Star Trek.

  6. Trade with FFastTrade and love the platform and the customer support. $550 per month is not much for what you get!!

Thank you daydreaming. We really strive to provide our traders a level of support that is far and away superior to other firms.

I have been trading with Ffasttrade for a little over 6 months now. The quality of service is excellent. I would give it an A+. Platform is good. I was trading with TT prior to that at a prop firm. TT is good too. I really cant tell the difference with my style of trading. Like any trader, would like to see their platform fees come down.

Velocity Futures and Fast Trade, aren't they self-clearing firms? I think they are and if so that's the reason why they're able to offer such low commissions and margins. I believe on Velocity Futures's website they have margins as low as $500. When I read that I was like whoa, but I know that's unheard of in the industry. Truthfully I don't have much experience so I can't really speak intelligently about self clearing firms but if you know of any pros & cons post them immediately.

2 Reasons that we can offer low commissions:

    In-house support
    Propietary platform

the clearing function is more of a guarantee of our "pipes" to the exchanges...
