If that were true, why is it the white collar worker generally speaking live in nicer homes than blue collar?
Money does not equal happiness or feeling good mentally. And my point was about feeling good mentally because that is ultimately the end goal. That can be achieved by being more self-sustainable/responsible. Are you saying the the bigger a person's house is, the happier they are? You know that is not true.
'fraid to disagree, but generally it does, often it's the church which preaches the line that the rich will suffer, poor will attain heaven, blessed are the meek and mild. Fact of the matter, rich people are happier and live more functionally than those who scrape their wallets for a dollar. So yes, bigger the house and car the happier. Where the poor are happier, they are content with struggle street existance and generally happier feeling miserable and happy living in shitty conditions, hanging out with other like minded losers.
I think you might have been drunk when you posted this. Care to delete it if necessary, The first million is most difficult and for those hands-on HVAC guys (pick your craft) you might rely on, are not as poor as you think.
I think you missed what I was getting at or I might have not expressed it the way I wanted to. It's difficult to type how you want your words to be perceived, I am sure you can understand. And this has nothing to do with religion so I am not sure why you brought that up. Like I said, it is difficult to express in words how you feel as you just shown. You continue to say money equals happiness. And you speak to me as if I don't have either. The point I was trying to make is that humans have evolved to overcome challenges. We feel better when we have overcome a challenge. Have you ever evolved to make a working trading plan? (yeah yeah your metal journals, I am making a point here) Have you ever evolved a scrap idea when overlooking your yard and then built a shed? Have you installed an Australian light bulb by yourself and felt proud you made light? Working with your hands and making something out of nothing. Then you get into a flow state and feel a proper worth. Getting away from the topic is not productive. This is more in line with what I was getting at:
Cute video and I've heard that story before. We don't live in 1960's where life was more relaxed, these days we live more in a competitive rat race. If you want to chill on the beach these days, you're either homeless or a hippy or rich already. But back on topic, working with your hands is fun, but it will not pays the bills much. When you can't pay the bills, that's not fun. Every man and his dog has the ability to work with hands but the pay is low. It's prolly best to work smarter not harder, get the coin in the door, then lastly spend leisure time on hobbies. Btw, I've worked with my hands all my life, I'm an engineering tradie but qualified in several fields, now retired.
If you pigeon hole yourself the way you do others it is easy to see you being miserable. Money is security, one part of life's functions not all of it.
