FEMA/Army Planning for H1N1 Outbreak

  1. WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The U.S. military wants to establish regional teams of military personnel to assist civilian authorities in the event of a significant outbreak of the H1N1 virus this fall, according to Defense Department officials.

The proposal is awaiting final approval from Defense Secretary Robert Gates.

The officials would not be identified because the proposal from U.S. Northern Command's Gen. Victor Renuart has not been approved by the secretary.

The plan calls for military task forces to work in conjunction with the Federal Emergency Management Agency. There is no final decision on how the military effort would be manned, but one source said it would likely include personnel from all branches of the military.

  2. Sounds Gestapo-esq to me (there was a GENUINE swine flu concern in the '70s... but the military and national guard were not mobilized).... The current Swine Flu scare COULD BE just a smoke screen to get Americans to take the vaccine... which is in some way has been ENGINEERED TO BE LETHAL... with intentions of thinning the population.

Hey, the morbidity rate so far has been MUCH lower than "seasonal flu"... So, why all the fuss about this one? WATCH YOUR ASS, AMERICAN SHEEPLE!

Ugh. Military should never be running around our streets. What is the death rate on this thing again? This is a huge overreaction.

  4. The people that have means and the educated are far more likely to take the vaccine, therefor I would lean more towards a culling of those that do not take it than those that do. Otherwise you wind up with a world a mountain top muslum tribes and backwoods toothless american hillbilly's. I will get the shot.

  5. Info so far is that the death rate is EXTRAORDINARILY low.. in the "few per thousand"... So, why all the ink and fuss? Unless there is an ulterior (clandestine?) motive.

  6. That's a free choice. Until they strap you down and force it down your throat, figuratively.

Suggest you consider being more cynical when you hear, "I'm from the government... I'm here to help you"...

  7. I will not get any vaccine.

There is nothing under the Posse Comitatus Act that prevents the National Guard or even branches of the regular military from conducting non-law enforcement operation on U.S. soil, so they could certainly help setting up bases to help civilians in a time of national crisis, whether with distribution of medicine and food, or other such things.

  8. Is it a matter of "no act preventing"? Or, more of "why is the need"? Potentially very sinister, if you ask me.

  10. No forced immunizations for me or mine. You'll have to shoot me first.
