I occasionally buy a put or call spread just for fun. Spreads are the safest way to play a volatile market.
Not cynical at all. I easily change my mind when facts change. This is why I algo trade. Software is programmed to adopt to market changes. The main thing I learned over the years to not stick to any belief in the market. The moment facts change, you must change with them or it will cost you dearly. Back in March of 2020 all looked very dark, and I expected more pain, then miracle of free money took hold, and I like everyone raided gravy train. Where I made a huge mistake is crypto. I convinced myself that Tether fraud would be busted any day and crypto will fall apart. I acted against my own rules, and it costed me To miss the whole thing.
TSLA will bottom when the broader market does. The price at which it bottoms depends on whether the business holds up or turns into a busted growth story a la NFLX and many vintage 2020/2021 story stocks.
