GWB, how many double digit fraudulent votes you find for 2020?

As mentioned previously there have now been over 70 individuals convicted in the investigation of voting fraud by people who are not U.S. citizens in the investigation of the 2016 election by the federal DA for the Eastern District of North Carolina. Most arrive at some type of plea agreement with the DA's office.

This investigation started when the federal DA, Bobby Higdon, appointed by Trump demanded that all the voting districts in his region provide their records. His office then cross-correlated the voting records with U.S. citizenship records. After this the Eastern District of North Carolina (which covers the eastern half of N.C.) started to charge those who voted while not U.S. citizens.

Bobby Higdon resigned in February of 2021 after the change of administration. The prosecutions continued under an interim DA until Mike Easley was appointed DA in November of 2021 by the Biden administration. The prosecutions (which were in motion) continued under Mike Easley.

"The investigation of these cases was conducted by agents of Homeland Security Investigations under the Document and Benefit Fraud Task Force in the Eastern District of North Carolina." Every month or so in the local media in North Carolina we see news reports about more indictments, convictions, or progress on these cases. In 2021 the scope was increased to include voter registration fraud by non-citizens.

The federal DA's in Eastern North Carolina easily found over 100 examples of non-U.S. citizens voting in a population of approximate 5 million people representing the eastern half of our state. People can debate whether this effort with convictions was worth the time, effort, and resources. But most people concerned with the integrity of our voting system will say it was.

odd....you did not seem as concerned about inconsequential voter fraud for 2020 as you did for 2016

This sounds like when republicans say catching drug smugglers at the border is a bad thing. This looks like good work to me. I don’t get why finding 70 fraud cases is an indictment of the left though.

In actuality -- It's really not an indictment of the left or right --- but proper prosecutions of those who deliberately committed illegal acts.

The issue is that people on the left were pushing how horrible these voting fraud cases were --- and they were just an extension of the Trump administration attempting to punish immigrants, etc. etc.

Well -- these people on the left who made so much noise over these cases should take note that these prosecutions have continued under the Biden appointed DA.

that's some gross revisionism GWB. Your beef was the left downplaying the impact of these cases, many of which were mistakes made out of cheer ignorance of voting laws by the perpetrators (as pointed out by the left). You were onboard the great replacement "they're taking our votes" bandwagon

Let's start with the protests by Democrats and their appointees in our state where they did not want the counties to hand over the election records.

Federal subpoenas demand 'tsunami' of NC voter records

And then we can discuss all the protests, etc. fled by Marc Elias, a national attorney for Democrats.

Plus all the progressive groups like Southern Coalition for Social Justice who filed suits, etc.

LOL -- sheer revisionism is you trying to claim that I am somehow onboard wit the "great replacement". I have supported legal immigration to the U.S. for many years and have numerous posts in ET stating that legal immigration will need to increase -- and one of the best sources for people to come to the U.S. legally is our southern neighbors.

So this is going back a number of years and was brought about with a targeted audit around election time by the Trump administration. Yeah, you’re going to get pushback.

It’s very much in the same vein of republicans scrubbing election rolls before an election and not give people enough time to correct whatever inaccuracies got them thrown off of the rolls.

Using a legitimate function of government to impact elections has always been a dirty move.
