Republican Richard Lugar a senator from Indiana voted in elections even though he wasn't legally registered to vote in Indiana, or any other state and he now draws a pension from the senate even though he wasn't legally eligible. The Republicans voted NOT to prosecute an old man, hmmm. Hypocrites.
Obama won by 3 million votes, I am sure the sub 100 voters really made the difference. If people were intentionally committing these crimes and trying to change outcomes, you think a photo ID law will stop them?
Actually a REAL ID drivers license -- which is now required in most states -- as a picture ID for voting would be very successful in stopping foreign nationals from voting illegally in person in our elections. While a few people voting illegally may not swing a national race -- they certainly will swing local and state elections. Many of our elections for local and state district offices are won only by a few votes. It is time to protect the integrity of our voting system and ensure that only citizens vote.
What do you mean by REAL? Anything can be faked these days especially IDs. All you guys will do is create REAL Id requirements and then make it very hard for poor and working people to get them. People who live far away, people who can't travel during work hours, people who are old. We know your game.
This is probably, just the tip of the iceberg. In California where they gave drivers license to illegals, how many have voted in elections both local and nationally for President of the United States? The Secretary of State who is a Democrat refused to cooperate in cleaning up the voter rolls. I would not be surprised if dead people still vote for Democrats even today! When President Trump manages to clean up the DOJ, these Democrat officials aiding and abetting illegals to vote in US elections should be very afraid!
The Real ID requirements for drivers licenses were put in place by the Obama administration. All states must comply by 2019. To get a REAL ID drivers license you must bring all sorts of documentation with you to the DMV office for a new license. As I already pointed out, this won't work for a lot of people - people who are old, people who are immobile, people who are poor, people who can't afford to miss work. And most importantly people living in conservative areas where Cons intentionally make it harder for people to get their IDs.
Well if you want to drive or fly in a plane (without a passport)... you are going to need to get one. You can thank the Obama administration. Time that we used proper picture ids to stop illegal voting as well.
Driving and flying are optional activities, they are not civic duties guaranteed as a fundamental right. If you want everyone to have proper picture IDs, find enough funding to have them delivered to every registered voter. Any other half baked way is just another way for you Cons to win elections illegitimately because majority will never go along with your bullshit ideology.
