    Some of these applicants posed as athletes to get in. Next thing you know there will be athletes posing as students :D

    It shows you the power that the athletic departments had. He would bribe the coaches and they would recommend the students. That was the loophole.

    There is always indirect way to bribe. AAU circuit in basketball is dirty. Lots of cash flowing from the Nike, Adidas

    Athletic department is the tail wagging the dog at most of the schools. They should nuke the athletic departments completely.

    Exactly. As you said it was the sports no one cares about but still have pull with the admissions committee.

    People on here talk about edge. This guy found the edge in college admissions.
