Wisconsin unions will have more rights to bargain than federal unions AFTER Scott Walker gets his bill passed!

WSJ - It will no doubt surprise you to learn that President Obama, the great patron of the working man, also happens to be the great CEO of one of the least union-friendly shop floors in the nation.

Fact: President Obama is the boss of a civil work force that numbers up to two million (excluding postal workers and uniformed military).

Fact: Those federal workers cannot bargain for wages or benefits.

Fact: Washington, D.C. is, in the purest sense, a "right to work zone." Federal employees are not compelled to join a union, nor to pay union dues.

Fact: Neither Mr. Obama, nor the prior Democratic majority, ever acted to give their union chums a better federal deal.

  2. Most are paid way more their private sector counterpart, have much better job security and benefits....plus, they can get away with doing very little on the job. What more do they want?
  3. In California the unions are bankrupting the state and all the major cities. For example, within four years the city of Los Angeles is going to have to spend over 30% of its total budget just on city employee pension costs and retirement benefits. Other major cities in California, and the state itself are in the same boat. The word "unsustainable" is an understatement.

Here are the numbers in black and white (and a lot of red ink) as published by the state:http://www.lhc.ca.gov/studies/204/Report204.pdf

  4. US soldiers need to go on strike for better collective bargaining rights...

Of course, congress needs no collective bargaining rights, they just vote themselves whatever they like...
