No rate cut soon. If a rate cut were coming it would be telegraphed by GS and LEH. Note how the financials jumped up yesterday well in advance of the 300-point rise and today's "news" of a cut. Certain companies have a pipeline to the Fed. Amazing timing, eh what? Options expirations, etc. Just a coincidence of course. The Fed is 100% straight and God sees every sparrow fall.
Having performed a "Search", I am looking for the S&P 500's reaction in percentage price change in the days/weeks just after a Fed rate cut in prior cycles/years. I know I have seen this posted at ET in the past. I just cannot remember where. Thanks.
Clock is winding down. Recession risk is now very high to be started in Q4, IMO. They let the wheels stop. That was a big mistake.
what would a .25 cut do it would only matter if you are 80% on margin. and 95% on you mortgage or no downpayment. you just spoil the market with rates that low.
