I wonder why insider trading is a crime?

Does insider information have to be classified as a "thing of value" before someone is charged with insider trading?

I think what liberals really mean is that it is unacceptable for foreign influence to influence elections when the liberals do not like the outcome. No liberal seems to have an issue with foreign influence as long as the influence is advocating for policies or a candidate that they want.

    The hypocrisy is just disgusting.

Vicente Fox was on TV in the US campaigning against Trump and for Hillary. Vicente Fox did everything he could to try and influence the US presidential election.

Steele's Russian sources were two people directly tied to Putin.

Hillary and her campaign was actively seeking information from Russia.

Why do you not have a problem with either of those?

There is Adam Schiff thinking he is doing exactly what you are so upset about. Should he be impeached? Schiff eagerly attempted to commit a felony according to you.

joe Biden, "Donald Trump doesn’t think it matters if candidates accept damaging intel on their opponent from a foreign government. He’s dead wrong."

That is precisely what Hillary did. Not only did she accept it. She actively was seeking intel from a foreign government.

Besides that, it was fake intel used in an attempt to remove a duly elected president of the US. It is still being used in an attempt to impeach him.

Hypocrisy Alert: Dems Have Been Shopping For Oppo Around The World

In Wake Of Faux Outcry And Dem Histrionics, It's Critical To Remember Democrats Are The Ones Who Have Actively Sought Opposition Research From Foreign Governments

    The Facts

BEFORE THE 2016 ELECTION, THE DEMOCRAT NATIONAL COMMITTEE PAID A FORMER BRITISH SPY TO GATHER OPPOSITION RESEARCH ON PRESIDENT TRUMP FROM RUSSIAN GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS

ADDITIONALLY, THE DNC COLLABORATED WITH THE "HELPFUL" UKRAINIAN GOVERNMENT ON OPPOSITION RESEARCH TO UNDERMINE THEN-CANDIDATE TRUMP AND BOLSTER HILLARY CLINTON

IN RECENT YEARS, NUMEROUS DEMOCRAT OFFICIALS HAVE OPENLY SOLICITATED OR ACCEPTED SUPPORT FROM FOREIGN COUNTRIES AND FOREIGN NATIONALS

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) colluded with the Australian Labor Party (ALP) to have government sponsored ALP delegates flown to the United States and placed within the Sanders Campaign to plan campaign events and activities.

    The FEC
ruled the Sanders campaign had accepted about $25,000 in in-kind donations from Australia and ordered the campaign to pay a fine of $14,500

Does acting on the information result in value? You want to sit on oppo research and not divulge? Fine, no crime then
