Was it proven in a court of law, as per article 3 section 3 of the Constitution? So, to spell it out, if the government followed the rule of law, and my father was actually found guilty of treason, I would not exactly be thrilled at the prospect of having him executed but what the hell, it's treason. If the government of the United States assassinated my father, extra-judicially, that is to say, without affording my father his right to due process, then I would have a serious problem with the US government.
