    1. Corruption is worse than anything else. It is a very short hop from what Trump is doing to a loss of all liberties and possibly life. You can look around the world and see what corruption in government leads to… (hint, very few functioning democracies have high corruption - India might be the exception).

second, pure capitalism doesn’t work. Our current system is taking pure capitalism and adding rules when we find out capitalism doesn’t work in certain situations. The fed exists because after the quake in San Francisco there was no capital to rebuild that city. Interest rates are free market but the fed started managing them because moderate inflation is good (buffer to deflation) but volatile inflation is bad because one can’t make a financial plan over a long horizon.

Conclusion: our system is pretty good because it’s taken a good premise (freedom and capitalism) and refined it as necessary. Trumps corruption threatens to destroy it.

18 U.SC 2331(5) says, “the term “domestic terrorism” means activities that (a) involve acts dangerous to life in violation of the criminal laws of the United States or any state; (b) appear to be intentional to intimidate or coerce a civilian population; to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or to affect the conduct of a government using mass destruction, assassination, or kidnapping; and occur primarily within the United States.

so like the patriots who stormed the capitol or the patriots who planned to kidnap the governor of Michigan.

or the scoundrels who knelt during the national anthem.

And that's the problem. The need for more and more growth. You need the previous population, young people, to support the old people. And those young people, when they get old, need an even bigger population of young people to support them. This is exactly a ponzi scheme where new investors are always needed to pay out the old investors. What happens when populations don't grow anymore? Its happening now. There is no need to solve RE because you're making it sound like prices always need to go up. But why? Why can't people buy a house today at 3x or 4x their annual salary? Even that is almost too expensive now because how much insurance and maintenance has gone up.

I will also add that none of these discussion make sense unless you bring bitcoin into it. You have to acknowledge that everything happening for the past few decades is a function of depreciating currency and government theft of our purchasing power. I'm sure you heard about the references to What Happened in 1971.

Completely agree. But I am not talking about immigrants from the past, perhaps even the recent past, but more so about the the very recent people who came here just for free stuff. I see everywhere. I have also seen the numbers. Here is an example from Ireland. Look at the costs associated with asylum seekers. The numbers out of NY and California are I'm sure the same.

I came to my country as an immigrant decades ago. My papernts got no handouts, went straight to work, and actually paid back the money that the government spend on the initial costs associated with housing.

You just cannot compare immigration of today with that decades ago. And I also agree that cheap labor is need to pick the fruit and all that stuff. So why doesn't the government send all of these people to the fields instead of putting them up in fancy hotel and giving them credit cards and cell phones?

All of these questions are answered going down the Bitcoin rabbit hole. The idea that inflation is necessary in indoctrination in order to keep the fiat ponzi going which benefits government and the elite.

Completely agree. And I agree that Trump is corrupt in many ways. But he is at least exposing some of the corruption. How much corruption did Biden expose?

I think this is dead wrong. We haven't had pure capitalism in a long time, not free market capitalism. You can't have this if governments control the money. Once again, if you go down the Bitcoin rabbit hole, you learn why the Fed needs to be closed. All the Fed has managed to do is make the 1% richer at the expense of everyone else. The data is unmistakable.

I have seen some reports, and I agree with you that Trump is going too far, and he will pay a price for this. But I still maintain that voting in Harris would have just meant an epic collapse of the entire financial system. Trump is more so going to do a managed demolition, but either way, the world is going to look much different in less than a decade.

How do you expect the Dems to run $2T deficits with debt at $36T and interest expenses as the biggest ticket item? We might not even make it through this year because about 7-9T of debt needs to be refinanced. Nobody knows how this is going to happen. There is no money to pay the interest.

read history about how pure capitalism has worked. You think the rich own too much now...

RE: Democrats spending. This is a myth. The last time we had a surplus was under a Democrat President. (Clinton). See the chart below, you will see a pattern: Democrats inherit huge deficits and fight to bring them down. Then Republicans raise the deficits again. So far DOGE has saved like 20 million dollars and will have managed to kill like 100,000 children (i made up both those numbers). And trump is talking about substantial tax cuts.

So to conclude on your original point: We agree that Trump is completely corrupt and we haven't shown a single instance where Biden/Harris was corrupt. Further, what corruption has Trump exposed? That a spy agency used a government agency to funnel funds? So he made the agencies job harder because its not easy to be clandestine while you walk around flashing that you are part of the CIA.

LOL... that's fair. The best time to close the borders is always after you get in. But I'm telling you, its different now. I notice you don't have any comment about the huge figure that is shown of it costing over $122k Euro per applicant.

I have seen enough that during eras of pure capitalism where money wasn't corrupt, times were good, and there were even bouts of deflation which meant people could buy more stuff with their money.

I fully believe that the rich people today would have never gotten rich if the system didn't work the way it did, if banks couldn't be bailed out, if governments couldn't run forever deficits, and if ZIRP didn't last close to 15 years. You simply cannot get too rich if money is fair for everyone, not just the government and those people closest to it.

Everything is downstream of money. As the Bitcoiners say, fix the money, fix the world. We wouldn't even need to argue about immigration if the people coming from these countries weren't ruled by a dictator. But sadly today, its those countries with huge debts and an entitled population that has the most to lose. I fully expect the quality of life to decrease for most western countries once it becomes apparent that the country is broke and nobody wants to buy useless fiat debt anymore (US, Canada, Europe). But this will also solve many problems as well and I think realign incentives. If you want to work hard, you will be able to realize the benefits of your hard work, and if you want to live off the system, that no longer provides, you get run over.
