In the old days, if the FBI director received threats or became paranoid that he was a target to be eliminated... They would over-react and take out the person that they thought was the only person to make such threats...the President of the United States. Yet, usually, when people accuse the FBI of corruption...they're also accusing the CIA, and Secret Service of corruption. A lot of accusations of our government's law enforcement have been going around lately...seeds for chaos has been planted. Unqualified people now in control of those government agencies can easily turn on those who put them in charge. Power is a double-edged sword. I'm curious, have you ever been to the Capitol ? I ask because there's an FBI field office only about 1 mile from the Capitol...about a 4 - 7 mins drive depending on the traffic. Also, those people are known to hang out at/near the Capitol building. Simply, it would not be unusual to discover FBI agents at the Capitol building on January 6th, 2021, especially when they knew President Trump and others were giving a speech that day at a nearby location. Yet, if the FBI agency were questioned at a Congressional hearing and someone specifically asked them if they had any field agents on the ground at/near the Capitol??? The FBI then said NO. I would say they're lying their ass off because I've been to the Capitol a few times in my life. It was not unusual to see FBI agents, Capitol police, and local law enforcement in a nearby restaurant or walking around near the Capitol building, especially around lunch. Thus, there was some law enforcement at the Capitol on January 6th 2021, especially if they saw a very large crowd walking to the Capitol to protest. The only people you would not have seen would be military vehicles carrying U.S. military soldiers but you may have seen a few soldiers walking around because it's the Capitol of the United States. With that said, I do not believe any conspiracy theorists that the FBI was in the protest crowd inciting a violent riot when others involved have been videotaped, photographed, identified, arrested, and convicted...none worked for the FBI or mistaken as the FBI. wrbtrader

His behavior was treason but the DOJ was too slow to make their case against Trump. It allowed Trump's lawyers the needed time to delay delay delay the criminal case against him. Now that he's President-elect...the remaining court cases against them had to be dropped so that the American legal system doesn't look like fools putting a President in prison before or soon after his inauguration day as President of the United States. That's why those two old farts had that meeting...I believe they discussed Pardons. Biden will clean the slate for Trump so that Trump is no longer a 34x convicted felon from the Hush Money criminal trial. Had Trump not run for President, he would have been convicted in those remaining criminal cases against him. Instead, America is now left with a bunch of conspiracy theorists saying he was innocent and the DOJ was out to get Trump for political reasons. More importantly, they're now trying to whitewash was happened on January 6th, 2021.
