FBI: 100 Percent Chance of WMD Attack

  1. The probability that the U.S. will be hit with a weapons of mass destruction attack at some point is 100 percent, Dr. Vahid Majidi, the FBI’s assistant director in charge of the FBI’s Weapons of Mass Destruction Directorate, tells Newsmax.

Such an attack could be launched by foreign terrorists, lone wolves who are terrorists, or even by criminal elements, Majidi says. It would most likely employ chemical, biological, or radiological weapons rather than a nuclear device.

As it is, Majidi says, American intelligence picks up hundreds of reports each year of foreign terrorists obtaining WMD. When American forces invaded Afghanistan, they found that al-Qaida was working on what Majidi calls a “nascent” weapons of mass destruction effort involving chemical and biological weapons.

In every other case so far, the reports of foreign terrorists obtaining WMD have turned out to be unfounded. However, Majidi’s directorate within the FBI investigates more than a dozen cases in the U.S. each year where there was intent to use WMD.

  2. probably true. the only question is will it be a muslim group or an american right wing anti government group. the last attempt was an american nutcase.

  3. The probability that the U.S. will be hit with a weapons of mass destruction attack at some point is 100 percent,

I've read this prior to 9/11.

Preventing an attack is a political problem.

  4. If they are nutcase how do they develop sophisticated bombs and devices?

The 9/11 hijacker who crashed the plane into Pentagon, flew the plane some 20 feet above the ground at very high speed. I think it is near impossible to fly a big plane 20 feet above the ground. Never heard of anyone doing it. The other two 9/11 hijackers crashed their planes into world trade center. It is not easy to crash a big plane into a building at high speed. The 9/11 hijackers were highly skilled pilots.

Terrorists are developing sophisticted weapons of mass destruction which requires good knowledge.

Computer hackers are highly skilled computer programmers who use their knowledge for destructive purpose.

Some people say Hitler had some mental disease. How did Hitler controlled/leader the most powerful German army in 1940?

Knowledge can be used for development and destruction.

  5. nobody ever accused tim mcvey of being overly smart yet he was able to pull of a mass murder with simple materials. where there is a will there is a way.

Hummm, 9/11 was committed by Islamic terrorists, the last several attempts that have been discovered and stopped , shoe/underware/Christmas-NewYears were by the same.

If you are referring to McVeigh he used nitrate/diesel, similar to the above the acts all were using conventional substances or methods, I do not know of any "amercian nutcase" using a true wmd.

  7. the only difference is access. do you think maybe this guy would have used the most powerful device he could get his hands on?

I'm sure any "nutcase" who's going to commit such acts will try to use something that will inflict the most damage, but the last person(s) who committed such acts weren't Americans.

  9. Hatred begets hatred, this is the eternal law.

Who starts what, who did what first is no longer important.

it is only a downward spiral for all sides from here onwards
