  1. I thought there was a chatroom somewhere in this forum.

  5. These guys barely post anymore, which brings an interesting point, most of the gold in ET is found in the past, not in the present.

The present is more interested in entertainment rather than trading discussions.

  6. As we all know as traders it can be lonely. Additionally many of us do not share wins or losses with our SO for obvious reasons. So et can be a great place to hang due to the anonymous aspects here.

Now for the traders who actually earn consistently they may refrain from posting a lot due to fears of perceived edges being figured out. It's a real double edge sword. Nice to hang, but u really can't really talk shop. That may be why a lot of the good ones post little.

  7. Except a trader doing well, should not get that lonely.

I'm not saying money can buy happiness but it can certainly buy entertainment.

I post infrequently due to a lack of control of my posts. On occasion I've posted something I wanted to pull but was told it's no longer my content. With that in mind I re-think many posts and stop myself before putting myself out there. I still stop by to check pm, though.

Well, I was up trading the DAX. As I sometimes do, I stopped by ET to check threads for ideas. I saw the thread with my name and checked it out. I don't recall if the poster thanked me for any specific thought or in general. I agree it was poor form to post a thank you publicly. I should've pm'd the guy, which is what I've been doing for quite some time.

  10. Well it's more than odd that the thread was deleted. Of course, your fan was a one-post wonder. You posted <10 minutes after the testimonial.
