Kilgore ( Robert Duval): You smell that? Do you smell that? ...Napalm, son. Nothing else in the world smells like that. I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for twelve hours. When it was all over I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end...
Yes he was. Another good one: "uncle Sam. He reaches into your shirt, grabs your tit and squeezes until it's purple."
Lonnegan: "Four niiiines." Hooker: "Four jacks. . . train whistle. . . . You owe me fifteen grand, pal." Lonnegan: "Must have left my wallet in my room." Hooker: "Don't hand me any of the crap! When you come to a game like this you bring your money! How do I know you won't take a powder? . . . . All right. I'll send a boy around to your room in 5 minutes. And you better have the money or it'll be all around Chicago that you welshed. You won't even be able to get a game of jacks. . . . . Cash me in for the rest of these, Clemens."
This is a bit mixed up..."make my day" and "do you feel lucky" were two different Dirty Harry movies. (and I am pretty sure it was 5 shots or 6)
Make my day was from Sudden Impact. Twice, once in the cafe in the beginning and again at the end at the carousel. It may have made its debut in an earlier film but I don't remember.
Also from apocalypse: "Charging a man with murder here is like issuing speeding tickets at the Indy 500" (or something like that). From The Good the Bad and The Ugly: "I go, I kill him, I be right back" "We don't need no stinkin' badges!" -- Treasure of the Sierra Madre
That's right....."do you feel lucky" was from the original "Dirty Harry".. I also think in Sudden Impact he said "me and my two friends..Smith and Wesson".
