  3. Why don't you stop the childish behavior,?

So you call my post "stupid" because I compare what Satriani,Vai
and Johnson are doing on that video "Going Down" to Van Halen
    and Clapton?

    Guess what dude?

You are the one being close-minded and stupid just because I had
    an opinion.

I guess you do admit that these guys are clones with your "novel"
story, saying new novels are the clones of of older ones but can
    still be enjoyed.

As far as becoming as successfull as the 3 nutjob guitar players,
I didn't want it so I stopped playing. This scares you because you
know it is in you to do the same thing.

Why don't you put your video up on Youtube, since you say you
are still playing. Then I will give credit to you.

I bet I was out playing before you were even out of diapers.

BTW, can you see the mistakes by that guy in Japan whose video
you put up earlier? Can you tell his bass player is a pile of crap?

You know, the Andy Dick clone video?

(Oh, if you want to call me Daddy, that's okay but a little kinky if
    you ask me)...LOL...

  4. Pekelo

    Pekelo

Since I have time, let's educate, although after this one, you will be on ignore. If you don't get it by now, you will never get it.

    Quote from version77:

Why don't you stop the childish behavior,?

Because I didn't have one?? Man, just this single sentence shows how immature you are.

So you call my post "stupid" because I compare

No. I called your post stupid, because even if you are supposedly a musician, you don't get that music is a form of ART and not a race.
Who is a better painter Michelangelo, Leonardo or Boticelli??
(I don't suppose you get the analogy, though.)

You are the one being close-minded

Sure, I am so close-minded, that even though I don't like Yngwie's style, and I didn't like his CD I still gave him a chance and went to see him.
And even after seeing him and not liking his music, I still don't put him or his fans down.

I guess you do admit that these guys are clones

I don't have a problem with GOOD clones, if you like that expression. But my movie analogy also showed, that there are just a limited number of originals in ANY type of artform, you can call anybody who come later, a clone.

As far as becoming as successfull as the 3 nutjob guitar players,
I didn't want it so I stopped playing.

Sure, it was your personal choice. lol :)

    This scares you because you
know it is in you to do the same thing.

Yeah it scares me as much as you calling your Daddy. By the way, haven't I mentioned my interest in trading and not in guitarplaying? Please pay more attention!

Why don't you put your video up on Youtube, since you say you
    are still playing.

See, that's why you are a moron, a healthy big one. I never said anything about my guitarplaying ability and it is not the issue here.

For your using a non-sequitur classifies you as a moron, no namecalling intended.

I bet I was out playing before you were even out of diapers.

    Totally irrelevant, childish statement.

(Oh, if you want to call me Daddy,

I didn't call you Daddy, read it again.

We have to say goodbye here, because as much as I like to educate the ignorant, you are not going to get it, so it is just a waste of time. See you, you are on ignore from now on...

P.S.: When you have your playing on Youtube up, PM me I will take a look. After all you were boasting about it, not me.

  5. Okay, Pekolo player wannabe is gone. Chickened out. Only thing
he could say was I was the childish one.

I guess he is just another chicken....:D

And he admitted he isn't even a very good guitar player.

    Too bad, chicken...:p

  6. Version... do you honestly think Clapton or any other guitarist from that era is anywhere near the technical prowess of Malmsteen and the like?

    #126     Jun 13, 2006
  7. That is not what I was saying in my post. And "technical" prowess
is not all there is to being a guitar player unless all you are trying to
do is impress with your "tech" abilities...

The video Pekelo put out was "Going Down" wasn't it? Is that not
a Clapton song? This is why I was referring to Clapton. And Eddie
learned most of his stuff from Clapton, then added his whammy bar
stuff and his two handed finger board playing (with lots of speed)
    to his playing also.

Satriani, Vai, and others (including Randy Rhoads) then folowed
by copying Eddie's techniques. Randy Rhoads was coming up with
some cool stuff before his plane crash. He was going to write (and did)
    some good stuff.

Malmsteen's main "strategy" when it comes to playing seems to
be that of a "speed demon" which is okay. I guess I haven't heard
all his stuff to see if he can play slower stuff with any taste.

Satriani does play more melodic kind of stuff and Vai is actually
pretty good at what he does. I like his playing.

I haven't really listened to Johnson too much, so I can't really say
    anything about his playing.

When I hear players saying stuff like "he is way better than this
guy because he can play scales and chords" and "this guy is no
good because he plays pentatonic stuff" it bugs me.

I did pentatonic stuff, scale stuff, jazz, you name it. Only because I
was interested in playing all syles. Even classical. When you do covers
for years you learn how to play all kinds of styles.

And out of that is where you can come up with your own stuff.

And when someone mentioned Malsteem could outplay any rock/blues
guitarist at his own stuff, I had to cringe. I haven't heard him play
    anything that resembles blues/rock.

Who knows, maybe he could play just like Stevie Ray Vaughn.

But it sounds like he is stuck in "scalitis" (that's what we used to call it)... lol...

I was a "scale monster" and sure it makes it to where you can play some
fast stuff. But if that is all your going to play, then it seems to me
it will limit what you can do. Just my opinion.

And in response to your earlier post:

No Jazz? No Gibson Les Pauls? No Gibson SG's? I could go on...

At least you don't sound like a moron like Pekelo.

Glad he put me on ignore. All he wants to do is argue...

Amazing he is turned on by others video's copying the Vai's,ect., of this world.

Guess he doesn't get out much does he?...

  9. bronks

    bronks

    I'll say one more thing.

The only thing a technical marvel at guitar is gonna impress is...

    ...another guitarist.

I wonder how many guitarists are in the audience at a Malmy show.
