If that is true, he will be charged with something, I don’t agree with murder one. If he’s there as a security officer, his job is to protect the news crew, not engage in the protest. He should have removed the crew and himself from the area when things went south. But that’s why I said I wanted to see the moments leading up the incident. Was there time to leave? Did the victim approach the news crew, security officer responding or did the guy engage in the protest, verbally, physically while on his job? Still lots of unanswered questions. It’s hard to understand the context of the situation when you just have a snapshot of the events.
The police are in a no win situation here. The elected officials are demanding they deescalate and not take action. Therefore entire cities are left to burn and be looted by rioters. This is not what the police want but have been ordered to do. Nothing would please the police more than to take aggressive action to arrest the protesters and have a DA which makes the charges stick with lengthy sentences.
John Tiegen should really watch the video of the behavior of this "victim" and other individuals associated with his group prior the shooting before claiming his rally was peaceful.
you wouldn't even need to arrest and arraign a whole bunch of them. Do it a few times and the word would get out, and the cockroaches would scramble back under the floorboards.
What entire cities are burning? Back when this was front page news I was in the US, and the only place I saw any hint of trouble was Minneapolis, where the programmable highway signs had a reminder about the curfew. I was in LA, and was even in Portland, that latter being the worst, right?
You were in LA, Portland, and other hotspots... Hope you quarantined when you returned to Canada so they don't get infected with rioting.
