I normally play with 1 ES, and today I was holding 5 or 6 ES along with 2 ER2 contracts at the same time. Lost more than a couple of weeks worth of gains -Fast
When you increase your size you should do it gradually - But you already know that Multiple holdings... Well it's something to get used to if you never done it before. Sorry to hear about your bad day. TM Trader
The f*cked up part is, I shorted 1129, and saw momentum building on the Buy side this AM so tried getting out on a limit order, but market moved too fast. I don't know what the hell happened, but instead of getting out, I just started ADDing to my short position. I think Adding to a position can be a good strategy at times when the higher-timeframes are also in your position's favor. But I didn't even check the 30 min. chart. Just kept on adding and got f*cked! -Fast
If it weren't for the broker f*ckup, I'd be up around 2 pts on ER2. But thanks to Rand, Im only up a pt or so on ER2. -Fast
LSU, I wrote a short thing about it here: http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=306858&#post306858 TM Trader
I don't want to piss you off. But the reason I'm not running to change brokers is the same reason I don't install the latest version of any software on my machine until other people tried it or I installed on a secondary machine. Sure IB has their glitches but I prefer to deal with something I will know how to deal with than with the unexpected. TM Trader
