Overweight people whether consumers of healthy or unhealthy fats generally have one thing in common....they eat too much.

I try to stay on the lower side of the medium scale, but sometimes is even less than that, if i crave the steamed veggies and soups. With the soups or stews i use meat most of the time but i try to pre-steam the meat as to get rid of as much of the fat as possible. I had a friend that rinsed his ground beef before he filled his burritos, just a healthier alternative than to having grease run down your cheeks when chomping down on tacos or suckling pig, when i was young and super active.

Yes, for sure, I think that is completely true, one of those links I posted supports that for sure, but also supports another recently learned idea, that the consumption of meats is directly linked to diabetes.

  4. Oh I am doing intermittent fasting myself and like it, just scientifically if you come off a 18 hour fast and load up on starch and veggies, how are you not losing lean body mass unless you are someone real thin and that is not an issue.

  5. I feel safe in saying there is no fully vetted nor proven science that eating meat as part of a balanced diet will raise insulin levels or cause insulin resistance.

The veggies are steamed so I don't experience the insulin levels spiking up, 2nd i don't do that every day. I will space my long fasts, with shorter fasts. I've tried the regular long fasts but it catches up to me and I do not like feeling weak. I do what works for me. Other people in my age group who are lighter than me in weight, have high cholesterol or high sugar or both. Other people who are at my weight have it even worse, but this is not me and on top of that i don't get sick, some will say you have good genes but i say i have good habits.

Maybe? but I didn't dig too far into that science, But I did do some reading about the Japanese, Diabetes is almost non existent in there population, and if you look at there diet they eat the least amount of meat, yes they eat seafood but they do not have the average western diet of eating the quantity of meat were used to eating.
