By the way, not really on topic of fasting but, I got me one of those nice air fryers.....they cook really well and fast and easy. They can be looked at as portable convection ovens maybe but still really easy. I threw in brussel sprouts and set the timer and left it and it was done in 12 to 14 mins or so with a little bit of char. One thing they said is that frozen vegetables come out soggy from the microwave but in the air fryer they come out firm and crisp depending on how long you leave them in for. I did it with frozen french fries for the family and I tasted them...tasted like they were fried (frim almost crisp) but no greasy feeling. Going to try it wit some other vegetables. Did chicken better than the oven too.
I'm not sure if its something i would use because of the oil, but based on reviews, its way better than frying. https://www.usatoday.com/story/life/2019/04/12/air-fryers-healthy/3435163002/
Olive oil is really healthy. I just put a really light coating and it fires up nicely. I don't think healthy fat oil is your enemy.
Sounds like you got rid of protein and fats almost entirely...you come out of a fast with only vegetables and starches. So either a vegetarian or you think fats only come from meat?
Since i have plenty in storage, I haven't measured it in grams. I cook for myself and my family and since my wife and myself aren't as young or as active anymore, I pay more attention to the quantity of fat I use in cooking our meals.
I posted a few links, check them out. One of them i believe has some information on olive oil and how during an autopsy they found that a high percentage of fats related to olive oil were in the fat cells around women's midsection.
Not entirely but I've reduced it quite a bit, I still have my cheese vices, and olive bar snacking but i use way less than i used to. I do like intermittent fasting, I just listen to my body, I perform better on an empty stomach, i try push my meals as far as i can. I skip breakfast and and intermittently skip my late lunch and try to eat as early as i can in the evening.
Fair enough, but I meant what are the sources of fat in your diet and what approximate percentage of your daily caloric intake do you figure comes from fat. In even broader terms, would you consider yours to be a low-fat diet, a medium-fat diet or a higher-fat diet? I consider mine to be a lower- to medium-fat diet, but more on the lower side than medium.
