I'm talking about Trichet's monthly ECB press conference. Is the statement released to the news wires before he reads it out? If so using your news wire would obviously be fastest. Or does he read it out before it is made available to the news wires, in which case watching the news conference on Bloomberg TV would be faster.
I've checked the ECB's site but the live broadcast was a split second behind Bloomberg TV, which was broadcasting it live. Is the direct satellite link available to members of the public? The Bloomberg coverage comes from that satellite link so I don't know if it would make any difference.
It does, there is a direct link possible, Bloomberg TV is slow. The ECB Website is slower, the wires are the quickest but still not really live. Professionals have it live, if you do not, you will be scooped. I won't tell you exactly where to find it, but there is a European feed that can be heard in the US. You should be able to locate it.
