I want to share the salesman‘s contact information but I will only do it privately. He is not a sponsor on ET so I don’t think it’s right for me to post publicly.

As to your comment about my privacy and secrecy , I work for a regulated broker dealer. I have to follow certain rules and certain information I prefer to give one on one. I’m sorry if that bothers you but it’s not something I’m willing to change. We provide a lot of information on our website, a lot more than other introducing brokers.

  3. I am aware, most US FCMs provide zilch on their website. Like the used car salesmen who always ask the customer first how much he or she thinks the car is worth. Not referring to you here.

  4. Thank you guys for the information and thoughts. I'm going to try the trial on both services suggested and I've reached out to the three news services to inquire and get more information. You do bring up a simple point that I over looked, that the services I mentioned are all a layer on top of news.

Random question, has anyone seen a machine read-able news data feed? I'm wondering how 'read-able' they are. Would a human be able to read the flow of data? I know that a human reading this data flow would still be behind an automated algorithm, but I am more curious how the information is formatted in the machine readable feed.

  5. I am willing to provide further information if you first in detail describe what your EXACT needs are. There is zero point in recommending something when you are unwilling or unable to describe how you plan on trading those news.

  7. I'm looking to take action and make trades based on news flow and headlines. I'm looking to do short/quick trades, get in as the move begins to happen and get out very quickly after for a quick scalp.

With the services I initially mentioned I am able to do this as one service will report headline X, then I get in, then another service will report on headline X and I know another wave of traders will be coming in behind me. Once the price action pops I exit.

In my original post I was trying to find out/ask if there was a single service that was constantly faster than the others. That way I could avoid listening to multiple squawks at the same time, and since I am not a professional I was wondering what services the pros do use. As you pointed out, the news will beat the squawks and those three news services do seem to be what I am kinda looking for. I can afford a BB terminal or eikon, but don't know if I were to go that route if I would be able to do what I am even trying to do as I've not used them before.

I do know I will be slower than an algo, but in my experience I am still able to profit, plus by doing it manually I feel as I am better able to adjust entry/exit strategy by interpreting the news with a brain (as we know how algos aren't always great at that).

I'm hoping that provides you with the detail you need to recommend something.

Most moving news are pre/post market. During regular hours, I am thinking that price scanner would react faster than any retail news service. By the time you read why something popped, it would probably be too late to join (but maybe not too late to fade?).

  10. Ya that is a good thought, I've had that thought too, set up a trigger in a scanner looking for volume. If/when I try it out, I'll let you know how it goes lol. I have watched a fellow trader get news a couple times before the volume pops on it and I'm trying to figure out how they're doing that tho. They've talked about how news has a flow and they are high in the chain of that flow. They won't tell me really much more, but I do know there is a way to get news before the volume starts popping.
