I agree that CNBC is falling apart bigtime in preparation for Fox. And I am REALLY sad that Bolling jumped --- he was, IMO, one of the better "Fast Money Traders" and I did get some good insights from him this past year. "Fast Money" has gotten such that everyone is talking over everyone else, and it's hard to hear anything useful from them. Wasn't like that 3 months ago. Plus, they need to turn down Dylan's mic --- unless he's in the studio behind a desk, he's ALWAYS shouting. That said, what's up with CNBC's "Task Force" concept now? It used to be they'd have 2-3 analysts/talking heads discussing an issue during the day --- now it's a CNBC "Task Force" complete with splash screen and military music intros. And is it me, or are the various audio sound effects louder (and more annoying) in the afternoon than they are in the morning? Bottom line: In recent weeks, it's clear that the network is pandering to keep viewers and perhaps out-fox-Fox, but I think in the process they're going to alienate and/or piss off some of their most loyal and long-time viewers. And given my goofy internet feed, I can't get reliable Bloomberg TV on my computer....but Comcast refuses to carry it here in Northern VA. So we're stuck with CNBC and enduring it's transformation into FOX-lite. PS: If the Bond-Man Rick Santelli leaves the network, I'll be most disappointed.
You should be able to hear Bloomberg radio from their website. I recently had enough of CNBC and switched to Bloomberg TV during the daytime. The MAIN reason......Mark Haines! I can't FV@#!N& stomach him in the morning! He interviews people like he thinks he is the King of England! He belittles people and insults them, let alone interupting them as they try to make a point. He thinks who the hell he is. Who the hell is he? A freaking TV anchor? He is embarassing to watch....so I don't. After the settling in period I got used to Bloomberg and now I would never go Back. If Bloomberg is like a classic rock station, CNBC is Radio Disney.
Another thing --- CNBC kept saying "exclusive" in regarding Mozillo's interview with Maria this morning. In the first 3 minutes of Power Lunch they used the word like 6 times to describe the interview.....was so blatantly-pandering (to me) that I turned the TV off and ate lunch in silence for a change. Well, TVNewser shows that CNBC's claim wasn't exactly true: http://www.mediabistro.com/tvnewser...nbc_yes_exclusive_not_so_much_65660.asp?c=rss Ha!
What's with that Fast Money "MBA Challenge" game show crap? Are they paying out the $200k prize money in annuity format for 30 years again?
Haven't you seen that Bloomberg print ad in Barron's? "Smart money watches Bloomberg". I think they are taking a swipe at CNBC.
The only cnbc shows I like are high net worth and OTM. Get this game show crap off a business channel.
