Looking for a round of opinions on this one. Looking to exit Fannie Mae (fnm) on Monday. Could simply exit at 8:00 AM ET, but thinking of waiting until market open at 9:30 AM ET.

The question is this, is there any advantage to waiting for the regular session to open at 9:30 AM ET, or should I just go ahead and exit in the pre-market at 8:00 AM ET?

In other words, is there any potential for a rally or is Fannie Mae going to be a "down all day" trading day?

  2. If you're long Fannie or Freddie, you're pretty much screwed. The market, along with Uncle Sam, has more or less discounted the common shares of these two companies. On Monday, I would think that Fannie and Freddie will move in the opposite direction of the general market.

  3. You should be able to sell at 1.70 a share on monday. better than 0
