Some of my grandparents used to speak German but the newer generations were not really allowed to so we converted to English. I have a book I can not read that is written in German - I think high German as there are some different dialects. It is family property and don't wish to sell it but I'm currious if it's worth anything. It's called Das Fatherland . It's a very old book and has a blue cover with some nice drawings. I looked on the internet and didn't see any references to it but know Das Fatherland has a lot of meaning among real Germans. Any thoughts?
