Oh by the way can you tell me the brand and model number of your laptop? I would like to look up the specs. Specifically I want to see what specific processor is in it, if it has integrated or dedicated GPU, and shared or dedicated video memory. Most laptops use integrated GPU's with shared memory and this may very well be the biggest bottleneck you have. If so, just moving to a dedicated GPU with dedicated memory could be all that is needed. EDIT: Just because I was curious I just tested my PC the way I mentioned in my previous post. I use ThinkOrSwim and because it is after market hours I turned on their OnDemand replay service so live data would be coming in and charts would be updating. Running 12 different charts on two different screens, my PC was only using 20-50% of the CPU and only 2GB out of 3.75GB. And this PC is ancient. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that this model was used by Adam and Eve to home school Cain and Able. Seriously it's about 11 years old. The processor is a Pentium 4 SINGLE CORE 3.4GHz processor. This is why I am thinking your problem is most likely an integrated graphics issue, OR your network connection to your ISP is too slow.
Ben... I run tradestation with 5 desktops, 19 workspaces, 19 matrix, complex indicators and a semi automated trading indicator. I was using 9.1 on a dual core 4 gig computer that was running out of memory. I am currently running 9.5 on a quad core 8 gig computer with 3 monitors. The cpu runs 5-10% during slow times and as much as 50% during volatile times. The tradestation system uses just under 4 gigs with 4 gigs free. hope this helps toucan
Where did you even hear about this guys ? I know DELL, HP, ASUS, Gigabyte, Asrock, MSI, NVIDIA, AMD, INTEL even Siemens or Fujitsu or something similar really, but I never ever heard about them really. I do not see the point unless building myself.
